I like what you have so far, but you may want to find another way to upload flash animation other than the attachment manager.

Some doodles done recently, first from reference, then anatomy (this became more tough for me, need a lot more head studies) and guinea pigs which I was trying to draw while they were running in my room, but they are so quick!

    Thanks for visiting my sketchbook!
Your progress from the beginning of this sketchbook is good, just keep pushing!
I suspect the snowy hill in front of those houses in post 151 would have something of a gradation. As it is now it looks very flat. Not that I expect you to go back and fix a speedpaint, but it's something to keep in mind in the future.
    Keep it up!

Hey, you're improvement is outstanding. Keep up the good work.
When it comes to volume, it's really important to squint A LOT. Idk if you do this already. Most people squint to recognize bigger shapes but try to look for the value in those shapes as well. Notice the difference in value of what's closer to the lightsource and the shapes farther away. Always compare and contrast these shapes.
The second thing is to constantly be stepping back and looking at your work in another way. Stepping back or reducing the size of your image(when working digitally) helps to notice those values. Flipping the image-which has been mentioned here as well.
And the most important aspect is that you do this very, very often. Meaning draw for 2-5mins. and STEP-BACK. Look at what's wrong with it and then go back into the artwork again. Try to get into the habit of doing this. I can give a better explanation of why this needs to be done if you want.

    I have 3 stars now o_O

    oma: Yeah
iven: Thanx ! Personally I think my cross-hatching (or how you should say it? I'm not English-speaking too ^_^) is not so good... need more and more practice...
My57: Thank you! I try by best, but work also takes a lot of time
sketchibo: Thank you for stopping by, yes now I see the snow is too flat, that's because I used a photo reference. Well, that's the disadvantage of such method, but it's rarely when I have possibility to paint live, unfortunately.
    strangedawn: Thank you a lot!
Animadvertistine: thanx, yes, sheeps are so cute
benlinalexander: Thanx a lot for such great advices, tried to use all of them in my last work... But still I feel something is not so right, but can't undarstand why
    Justas: Thank you!

So, anatomy-anatomy and color skin study form imagination, using benlinalexander's advices and this nice tutorial http://danidraws.com/2007/05/14/pain...ur-skin-tones/. Feel free to C&C on this last piece, I see something is wrong, but don't know what exactly.

Sketchy update, first two drawings are from refs, the rest - from imagination:

    awesome to see your updates!
the icons you painted recently are fantastic. love the colors and the materials feel really realistic .
also don't get discouraged by stars! I dropped down to 3 not too long ago myself. I know it can be a bummer but really your book speaks for itself! great improvements!

hey, those icons designs are really cool. one little suggestion from me; dont keep them floating in space, instead ground them and cast a shadow. in my opinion, it adds to the realism and makes the design more presentable. Nevertheless i like them

Thanks for dropping by my SB.
Great stuff here! Lots of good studies. I really dig the waterfall sketch.
When doing enviros, along with distinquishing fore- middle and backround, values play a key role in creating depth. For example if you look into the distance, things start to get more and more blurry or desaturated because of all the vapor and stuff floating in the air.
I hope this was of any help, keep on drawing!
