you 're making great progress with these. remember that there are so many other techniques you can use with watercolors. and by varying the textures you can imply so much more. try using salt, sponges, and scrapers to mix up your mark making. get some of those edges a bit softer and look for a wider value range.

    keep it up. beautiful work.

    woa, long time no see

Hey everybody I've been away from here too long now. School's been taking all my time I'm afraid. But I just started to paint again. I am still into water colors and I'm trying to paint mostly portraits right now. Here is the last piece I did. It was for my girlfriends little sisters birthday.
I did take a photo of it, it's not scanned but I hope u like it anyway. I'll try to be around more. cheers / PMB

    -Spec- Thanks!
-Go- Glad too bring up memories

Holy crap man, you're back! So glad to see you! And I haven't posted in my SB in almost a year because I don't have a camera anymore + tablet broke and can't afford a new one. Just doing traditional stuff . I can see you are too! Man you need to post some more stuff! I'm sure you've done a lot more since you were last here!

Well good to see you again. Hope you keep posting -- hell maybe I'll invest in a camera or something so I can bring some healthy competition! Best of luck, man!

I tried to be a bit experimental with the colors. I am really just now trying to find what style and what colors that I like the most. Have a nice day

Very nice watercolors man. Watch the symmetry on the eyes though; Joffrey's left (our right) eye is a bit far out and down on the big drawing.

watercolors look fun, and you do well with referenced faces, keep doing more of them and youll learn how to apply that skill to imaginary work!
