Ha! great! Loved your super hero alter ego pointing out the sketch.

Over all the piece does not have a direction of light and most of the interesting stuff gets a bit dark. If you address these things I think you will be even happier with your painting.

I agree with foster and I would change the face a bit, I don't "understand" the mouth of the guy. I would also darken the background and add more detail to it.

I like the design of the ship as well as the textures... and the Mario sticker of course .

You've got so much action in the drawing, I don't think the motion blur is necessary, and it clashes with your rendering style. Or, if you really want it in, you'd do better to actually paint it, rather than filtering (check out the edges link in my sig, it might be helpful).

The shape of the vehicle doesn't communicate metal to me (or whatever it's made of). The shape feels more like crumpled paper. I think a more solid, firm shape (it can still be whimsical) would help this piece.

This has so much personality going for it but I have to agree about the vehicle design. It seems the least likely of all the much stronger designs you had on your thumbnails. It needs a little more logic and industrial design applied to it. By that I don't mean it needs to be a functional design, it just needs to have a center/motor lookin' thing that looks like it's puttering and backfiring him along. Right now I can't sink my teeth into the design so it's killing the illusion for me. Render out this whole piece with a decisive light source to really pick up the shapes and you've got a winner -Ray
