    Al's Stuff

Hey, names Alice, I'm 20 and started drawing in Photoshop this year. This thread is for my doodlings, studies etc. . I really want to improve and crits are more than welcome!

This is the first still life (from life LOL) I ever did, and jeeez it took me something about 6 hours :I And it isn't even finished

And this is the first photo study I ever did. It also took me quite long, I actually didn't want to spend more than 2 hours on it, oh well...

It seems like I always get distracted by all the details and my brush strokes get like finer and finer the more I work on it. And in the end every study takes an eternity to finish

Great start to a sketchbook, you've clearly got a good eye for detail and can observe and render deferent surfaces and materials well. The mirror in the second piece is pretty impressive but your right your fabric folds do need improving, I wish I could tell you how but I'm no good at them either.

It'd be great to see some works in progress, or even some previous stages of the works you've posted to get a better idea of your work flow. You mention that 'every study takes an eternity to finish', I'd recommend producing some quick sketches where you limit your time making sure that you get in the whole image, this'll help you speed up your work as it forces you to not get stuck in the details and to move on. You can always come back to areas that intrest you later.

    Keep it up.
