SeaShellis: Hey thanks a lot! Still hung up on choosing a college and making the decision that changes my life forever. No biggie right? But yeah, dunno what's up with my faces lately. They've been much more emotive as of late.

prsnsweeney: Hmm, that's a toughie. I can't tell you where my mind goes when doing these things (it doesn't let me do much of anything, lol). But google images is your friend. Think of a certain expression, and just give it a search.

cgaddict: Thanks dood. LOVE your work btw. Can't get over the values you can create.

Haha, only that texture is most likely pizza stains... Gotta stop working through lunch.

It came out great, there should be no reason why you shouldn't be satisfied with the final outcome IMO. Great concept , very nicely drawn and shaded. Is that texture on the cardboard part of that 'pizza stain' you mentioned? If so, that was a very lucky accident as I find that to be a nice touch.

    Keep it going!

Just looked over your sketchbook, wow that is really good. Your faces are awesome, your really good with getting facial muscles right to capture some real emotions. I love your funny characters, and that fish painting is great, and the man with the plastic bag is super realistic. Keep up the good work.

cgaddict: Well I'm glad you like it. I was really just worried the overall concept would be a little shallow, and couldn't find a way to convey it more strongly. And yes, that "stain" began life as a pizza smudge, lol. Took some ingenuity to get it to look like it belonged though.

jskotte: Hmm, everyone seems to like my faces all of a sudden. Maybe I'm getting better... nah.

    Closer look:

Great creature design on DSG, nicely rendered too. Kick ass concept on your latest piece too, looking forward to seeing it progress. Composition already works very well.

CGAddict: Thanks bro. I don't know how much farther I'm going to go on the
mural though. The constraints my headmaster is giving us doesn't leave much to the
imagination and I'm not all too motivated to do any more.

lolbbq: Thanks, I'm pretty proud of how that one turned out.

Random knight doodle (not at all cloned from dead space either, so don't bother bringing
it up, lol). I'm GOING to get suit/armor design nailed down if it kills me.

EDIT: Hey, who the HELL rated my sb? I want to thank them, lol. But now people are going
to actually expect... quality work... when they come here. OH boy.

oh I like that last one! like a warm summer breeze
design and colors are very pretty. and it's one of very few images where a plain and simple background like this is absolutely right.
and you have very good pencilwork as well, man. keep at it!
