Thank you glaudarien and thanks Lateman,
Just turned 16 on sunday, I got a big phat 24" monitor which rocks yehh!
also been learning from david finchs video which is great,
below- quick figure sketches (theres lots more where they came from but its all very sketchy), a more refined figure and a rough sketch of a character on photoshop I may work into, all done without reference

Heres some master studies from sargent, frustrating as hell but a little fun - here and here I also started one of madame x, but it was taking to long

your improvement over the past few months has been phenomonal! you seem to be doing well with your master studies, and the anatomy and costume designs of your characters are far more acurate and interesting.

    continue!

I mainly draw creatures and charcters of a SciFi/Fantasy nature, but I have dabbled in the art of vehicles, landscapes, and buildings as well...
I have a tendencey to refute assumptions and statements if they have no valid basis, but that will probably be irrelevant here...

great studies. good work on the sargent studies. I think you're getting the colour nice, perhaps a touch too vivid, but that dependso n the reproduction you're working from. I'd say focus more on just how he shapes his tonal passages, such as the shadow shape and how he places the midtones to transition to the light.

    Keep it up !

ah, I like the knight study, but I advise that you add some scratches and dents in the armor of your characters, it always gives a more worn and realistic look...

    as usual, continue!

Dang dude, you probably get this aaaalllllllllllll the time but i wish I was busting my ass like you are now at 16. Thanks for stopping by the book mang, keep up all the hard work!On the question you posted in my book, its all about drawing with your pencil like you do with your stylus with other dynamics set to pen pressure. Push down on the pencil when its an area that is in darks, less pressure on the pencil when your drawing a line thats in the light. Feel free to kick me a pm if you have any other questions, my meagre brain might be able to share some nawledge. Cheers!

Gorgeous characters and confident lines. How do you make such a good mental library? I find it really hard to make creative costumes and details but you seem to do that so well!
