    Heyaaaa Daggers!
    Since my last view (page 9) there's a ton of new studies, proving that mostly of the people there still engaged in the spirit.

    Today I keep my studies (at morning) and right now in Face Planes - front view. It's a shame to admit that I never study Loomis. It's so easy to follow and understand. "Why Hogarth...whyyy ?" lol

    I really learned a lot today and I hope all you guys feels the same (if not, you'll, for sure).

    That's it Daggers! Let's keep the focus. Any comment, critique...would be very appreciated.

    ps.: let's not over-stream the whole thing. Draw first, watch later. ;-)

    Well, left my tablet at my parents house over the weekend so no digital studies, kinda busy Uni at the moment but I did get this in today during class, I put a little still life in his cloak at the bottom. Good work daggers, Lee that candle is fucking sweet, that green wax feels really luminous.

    Hey guys, dont know if I'll have time to do the anatomy stream before the next one starts but here's my study from today (yesterday? tiimezonness). I couldn't attend it properly because of a horrifying exam that stole part of my soul.

    Planning to do a bunch more still lifes of metal objects because I really struggle with it.

    Getting a single light source and simplifying the subject matter helped a ton to start with. I might keep doing single subjects for a bit and begin to add more things as I go.

    I can see the perspective is wrong on the sketchbook too, so I'll fix that next time.

    I'll have to get a new pear too, since I ate that one

    Guys, one way to set up rule of thirds -

    You can make a new action for this also -

    So, new action, record

    -> View
    -> New Guide
    -> In "Vertical" Box type 33% <enter>

    -> View
    -> New Guide
    -> In "Vertical" Box type 66% <enter>

    -> Repeat with the Horizontal Box.

    -> Stop recording the Action.

    Now you should have thirds setup on any document you use this action.

    Hide/show them with "View > Extras" (You can make this as an action too)

    For anybody that wants some more study time on composition, or a reference to keep around in addition to what Dave was talking about today, you might want to check out the Famous Artists Course on Composition.

    part 1: http://www.animationarchive.org/2006...mposition.html
    part 2: http://www.animationarchive.org/2006...mposition.html

    Scroll down past the links and check out the jpegs inline in the post (the links might be helpful too...those are some resources that John Kricfalusi put together). Hopefully this helps back up some of the stuff that was covered today.

    Well you are in luck, today we will be doing legs and poses. I usually break up my studies so I don't spend too long on a figure. Hands should be done on their own like heads I think. Feel free to do it anyway you want though.
