Wow, your studies are looking terrific! It would be awesome if you'd do some more stuff from imagination; you have a good foundation for that.

So got some critiques from Art Center admissions people. They said that a lot of my stuff is looking flat and that I should focus on more variety in my designs before going into the final. Goood stuff.

I'm going to try to avoid drawing from photos even more now.
    1.5 hour timed study:

Does anyone have any tutorial links for rendering matte metal (like for mechs)? Or any good mech/car tutorials.

Hey I like your final pieces in #316 & #321. You've made great progress. One small critique, try to use a bit more color in your imaginative sketches. They really make some of your other pieces pop. Keep it up!

    Smile gr8 work for real!!

hi, i am really interested with ur work and progress..

i wanna ask if you really did all this with the wacom bamboo?? because i want to buy the wacom bamboo create but not sure if its suitable for my needs:
i want to use it to draw game characters mainly 2D and also 2D levels.. also i am interested to draw the oil paining style pictures like urs they are amazing i immediately have this relaxing feeling when i look at them ..
so i need to know if its worth the price and if i will have big difference using it (even if i wont be using it all the time only when i need to)? or if a mouse will be enough for me?

hope u can help me with my decision cuz i am new to the art world and i am looking for tools to make it easier for me to create 2D games and enjoy the process of creating them...

this is a reaaaly good thing, and you should do it a lot more. mainly the straight black and white, pump out 10s of 100s of those. one after the other, boom, boom, boom.
when you feel drained, review over them all and pick some of them that you like and take them to finish if you feel like it.
this is really nice too, like, a lot nice man.
also, use more reference with your characters, just because you are drawing it from imagination, doesn't mean you can't refer to photos or life, just because you refer to something doens't mean its not from imagination, it makes it more legit.

Awesome stuff lately, man! This one is really nice. I'm sensing a slight Tom Scholes vibe. ;p

The studies are great as well. Just remember to apply the anatomy knowledge that you get to your imaginative drawings.

Keep it up, looking forward to seeing more!
