my name is Ben,I've been following this forum for the last few months or so and I've just recently joined, first of all let me start by saying that this place is a great initiative and network filled with much talent,passion,inspiration and vision if i might add

I'm posting some drawings and sketches i have done and i would really like to hear your comments.
I am from Israel myself which has no significant art movement or establishment, especially when it comes to figurative,representational traditions,I want to study art/drawing/painting/illustration abroad and it is quite a gargantuan feat for me to do such a thing(applying and obtaining visa,getting the finance,relocating for at least 4 years...) so i would really like 2 hear some feedback,do you think with my modest skills it is possible for me to get into a good art program,maybe even get a scholarship or a grant or something??
this are just sketches and drawings and nothing very much realized,some of is purely observational and some from imagination,some are free hand copies (Ingres,Durer,Loomis) please tell me what you think.


also the scanning is somewhat poor in some of the sketches since it is pressed from sketchbooks inside the scanner....try 2 see past that

It appears as though you are using the T rule to draw your ellipses in perspective but I don't think you are consistantly making these appear as though they are true circles. The hat on one of the master copies seems more like an american football shape rather than a true ellipse shape. For your portfolio entrance make sure that you avoid those types of mistakes because it is something they look for.
