    @Metal Fingers: thx mr. fingers :3 I shall draw more, paint more, study more

    @raminafshari: heehee... gotcha ramin. I'm weak on backgrounds/environments but I will keep going. thanks!

    @Lionsword: thanks lion. you're right, and in fact to be honest I do get bored halfway through sometimes.. 3': but I can't keep doing that because I really want to do this for my future. I gotta keep pushing and finish stuff as you've mentioned.

    @The US Assassin: thanks assassin~ haha don't know how complicated I can get but it doesn't hurt to try.

    thank you all. Not so much progress, but I am trying to push to finish this digital... because in all honesty, I rarely finish my works 3': I need to change that if this is what I want for my future

    @mangabiz: hey mangabiz. yeah I do both reference and out of head. though I've been slacking on studies that my work is just suffering from it.. 3: thanks!

    @alexson: xD thanks alex.

    @raminafshari: uh oh... haha!

    @Krato: yesssir. :3 i dunno but I really like daniel's and mr. burt's way of rendering.. sooo aweeesum.. gotta try to break away from the similar ideas though xD

    sorry for not updating for quite some time my friends! I did work on that digital a little bit more as well as doing some shitty photo study from wanimal's awesome pics. So many errors in my work... I keep saying I'm going to study but I never get around to it... f*ck procrastination xD Also very frustrated right now because I'm trying to figure out why my digitals come out in really dull colors after uploading to the internet.. xD Trust me, they don't look this dull in PSD format. Okay that is all for now -_-

    Lovely mate!!!the improvement can be seen in this wip gif
    You approached it great, working from a whole to more detailed elements.The blocking of colors looks very good.A barrier for u seems to be the anatomy.Its not bad but it needs improvement in order for u to be easier to download your ideas into the paper and not get bored easily.
    Ofcourse u have already improved in anatomy so far, and i like very much this back torso view.Just keep pushing it and u will do even better!!!U have already great rendering and tonal skills so thats what i think for now
    keep it up!!!

    (and thnx for sharing knowledge with posting wip)

    Everything everyone else has said, really. And finish something. Push yourself to the limit, force yourself to keep working even when you're bored to death when you're rather do ANYTHING, other than finishing that picture. Finish it. Push the values, push the textures, push the atmosphere, push your rendering skills as far as you can push 'em. Get outside your comfort zone (which is that half finished stage right now, it seems), that's where the real learning is.

    That said, I like the WIP of the painting, you've got a great method. The darks at the bottom left really clash with the whole mood though, they're really pale compared to the dark mood you're trying to convey. I can't give you any help with the colours though, I don't know much about painting myself. (Yeah, bad me. I'll learn.) I think you just need to keep things saturated though, keep the colours interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong or you know better.

    And I have to agree with Krato, I keep thinking of Daniel every time I see your sketches. It'd be worth checking out some other guys on CA; the more you know, the better you'll be. Janaschi, Wesley Burt's sb, Algenpfleger, MrDelicious, and the thread of Alphonse Mucha's sketches are some great ones you'll probably like. Check them out. Don't pigeon hole yourself now and become a Daniel clone D:

    @Silwynar: thanks Silwynar.. xD sadly those 3 hours I mostly concentrated on homework.. perhaps I can further render the study

    @MattGamer: thanks Matt~! *browses your sb for photos* :3

    okay matt.. so I did a quick photo study from one of your latest updates haha... and wtf @ dull colors when uploading 3': also some stuff from the past few days... i suck lately..

    regarding my recent sketches being inspired by Daniel... I find that I need to stray away from my inspiration (not totally) but mainly stray away from the ideas they've already portrayed because i'm essentially repeating what they've done... am I right or....? lol

    Hio teapo, you improved quit nicely in nearly one year. Probably in one or 2 more you will reach a nice lvl of art if you keep it up.

    For critique, I don't know if you upload or show finished stuff in a other thread =), but for what I have seen here, I would suggest you to sometimes go1 step back to see where you stand and do from time to time a full blown out finished work. Not just studies and sketches. When you try to get a picture to a finished stage, that's the real time where you will see what you have learned and what you need to improve on =). And you will train that way too to finish up a picture, this is importand experience too. Somewhere I read in this forum something like "I am not here to learn doing pretty sketches". Don't fear, you can only learn =).

    greetings, and have fun!
    I can do so little in so much time!

    @Klaus Reinbach III: thank you very much Mr. Klaus. Glad that improvement is noticeable.. I thought to myself that I'm not getting nowhere... but that feeling is to be expected. Yeah you're right about finished pieces, I shall get to it, especially with the last digital. Still need to finish that one haha xD

    I think I finally figured out why my colors become so dull when I save images for web... click here if you're having the same problems. This has helped bunches

    Anyway, I still suck at approaching pieces in straight color.. also practice some character design ^-^" Will continue to add another guy to the right.

    Hey,
    i ain't got nothing to crit on the digitals (still struggling with them my self) but about your pencils.
    Try to use more fluid lines to describe the shapes- it seems that when you draw a line you draw a little one and continue it with another and another instead of making it with one fluid stroke.
    Keep up with those studies and paintings, you're doing great so far.

    Alex.

    @andres333: thx andres. yes yes, more gestures

    @Vatsel: lololol korean girls~

    @Fallenangel: thx fallen. i'll keep that in mind

    Sorry for my absence. I've been drawing, just not updating. Nothing finished as usual... I suck :U So here's the huge dump of crap (there should be 27 images). Small 'studies' here and there with photo observations that I should've put more focus into. I'm thinking of whether or not I should color some of the pencil stuff. Also, I should get into the whole CHOW game to push my boundaries.

    If it helps anyone, here is the psd file for the last digital.

    I'll try to get back into updating daily again. Peace for now

    nice mate there is progress!!! I sense a lack of "level of detail" in your equipment designs.Definitely keep up these anatomy studies because i think they already helped u.U have good blocking of colors and values and stuff so mainly now i think you have to improve the base, that means u have to improve your sketching/drawing skills.Anatomy is a vital element of this category.This last doodling has a very interesting and good drawing, and its creature nature, explains the lack of a lot of stuff on it.Keep up the great work you are doing!!!

    @qlotzan: will do qlotzan ! thx

    @kingkostas: thank you king~ I agree with my equipment/gear on the characters are lacking in detail. I gotta spend more time with them ^-^

    small update on the creature thingy (perhaps done?) also some study from the laocoon statue that I started >.>
