hello guys ... sry for the lag of posts at the weekend .. had visited my mother because it was her birthday. im realy happy about alle the cool comments and nice words. also i say thanks to all the critique:

I'm loving your digital stuff. You are really creating some great work. I really like how you can feel the movement with the girl with the gun. Your Vampire character has some great shapes with a nice painterly touch to it. Keep it up. Looks great.

YEah it is indeed hard for oneself to realize the progress, but I myself sometimes do this;

Go back and scroll through some old images from 1-2 years ago, then check the recent ones. Sometimes it doesn't turn out like there's been too much progress, but sometimes it shows.

As a bystander checking your sketchbook every now and then, it is easy to see that you've definately progressed alot.


Now put some mad work on that dwarf!

thank you lakka, i think you rogressed alot too! but im glad to hear that. ... now to the dwarf: rendered it a bit more but im not very happy with thepositioning of his hand which lays on the hammer. maybe i try another position later

Hey, so many great update since my last visit! My fav is this guy. The dwarf is also coming along nicely. Just some nitpicking: The elbow of the arm which holds the axe is a bit too far up - I guess it should be lower to balance that large weapon effectively. The colors look nice, but somehow they don't come together. The skin suggests that the light source is white or very bright blue (cool lightsource), but the armor looks like it was lit with sunlight (warm lighsource). It's obvious that you tryed to emphasize the golden look of the armor - and I'm also not really sure how gold should look in cool light... Well, maybe you should play with some flat color overlay to make the color scheme work (at least that's what I ususally do in cases like this).
And I think that jumping into character detailing without sketchin' up the enviro is a big NO-NO - it can also lead to broken color schemes and pasted look.

Hi Lateman, You'll probably hate me saying this, but I actually prefer the earlier grayscale version of your dwarf. I really like the freshness and looseness of your quicker character sketches. If you could somehow capture that with your more detailed stuff then that would be great.
