Hello! I just wanted to say that your tutorial blog site is very helpful and I'm learning a lot from it. Your work is fantastic as well. Those dragons you did a few post back were great. The rendering was beautiful and I like how much depth you put into them. Great textures in the last post as well. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for your blog!

Thanks, everyone! I've got some more time for personal art this week and next, so I hope to generate a few more pieces. This one was designed in Sketchup.

damn dude you are such a good teacher, those tutorials are so helpfull!
just 1 thing! How do you put an image(reference) next to the canvas(like in the values video)?
when I paint from a reference I open the reference and then I out the reference in a floating window...

Just bought your video (the painting greyscale to color one) and it's probably one of the best painting videos I've seen (and I've seen a ton). Nice, straight to the point, and easy explanations.
I was curious what you did with the color dodge though (or was it linear dodge?)
Was it for the special effects?

hey jt4470, yes. Usually when I use color dodge it's to make things glow, which seems to happen a lot with special effects / magic

I'm glad you liked the videos!

Thanks for the tutorials. Could you post some about cast drawing stuff according to you "practice in greyscale tips"? I think, all the shadow / plane stuff is also helpful for pencil addicts like me.
