    Hey Guys and Girlz! =)

Not much drawing tonight, sorry =) Didn't get much done.. think I need to get more sleep, so tired.. =/
The painted piece, my friend Odessa from DA did the drawing =)

The perspective is from mind.. from yesterday's study =)

Trying to build up the confidence to fill up a whole moleskin page, it's apparently a difficult task for me.. lull, will see how far I can get tomorrow and post up the piece soonish =)

Sorry about proportion guys, I'm working on it, just that I can't discover what's right, without finding out what's wrong, lull, if that makes any sense.. =) Thank you =)

Lt Plissken - Hey bro, thank you, I'm glad you likey! =) Sure, I'll keep working on the proportion =)

Caspia - Ah cheers! =) Lull, thank you =) I try to be clean always, just draw what's needed you know =) Lull =) Thank you, much appreciated =)

    Huha! =)

    Hey Guys and Girlz! =)

Mostly spent the day drawing in my moleskin =) Practicing drawing! =) Was very inspired by FinalKnight's drawings =)

Andres - Thank you bro, well not sure how to do texture really, I just dab in colour here and there, and try to give the impression and zoom way out to check if it works =)

I feel like you need to start focusing a lot more. Sometimes there's some really good photostudies poping up and sometimes it seems like you just did things as quick as possible. I've said this before, many times, that you need to slow down. Your self portraits keeps changing anatomy sometimes it doesn't look like you were drawing the same person.

It kinda looks like you're drawing carelessly, especially after seeing a lot of good studies you've done. You need to slow down and focus on proportions, take the time you need to get it as right as you can rather than drawing a whole bunch and pushing them aside saying "meh, it's good enough".

Another example: You drew a skeleton study (1035). The idea of the study is for you to understand how the bones and the proportions. Seeing the result I'm not really convinced that you got very much out of it. If you would have taken the time to get the bones right and the structure of everything correct, it would have given you so much more even though it took a lot longer. It's a pain to really push it to finish but you have to do it. I'm not saying everything needs to be completely flawless but you need to push it a lot harder.

So do yourself a favor and put up a note somewhere that you'll be able to see all the time and let it remind you: SLOW DOWN, GET THINGS RIGHT!

I hate to be the one sounding harsh. If it sounded harsh, just remember that I'm saying this to help you.

    Hey Guys and Girlz! =)

Another day, another pencil shaving! =) Drawing hands, cuz everyone loves drawing hands! Lull =)

Loathsome - Hey bro, you're completely right, I'm definitely slowing down.. =) Yip, you're right, I don't think my drawings are any where near good enough, but I'm showing them to you guys so you can see how I work =)

Also sometimes I'll just run out of time, so the study just gets posted as is.. I like to keep to daily thing otherwise I'll just stop drawing and that will suck a lot =(

Thank you for helping and really pushing me =) You aren't being harsh at all, it's qwl =) I mean everyone should have a say, I'm pretty open minded about stuff, so don't worry bro =)

    Hey Guys and Girlz! =)

Not much time to ddraw today, had to do a lot of UDK work instead, here und here =) It doesn't look like much but there's a fuckload of coding behind that stuff, and I've also got more UDK Kismet work to show, but I just don't have time to record the demos for it yet, BECAUSE I'm going to be away for the weekend, to a wedding (not mine!) =) So no updates on drawing.. will be sure to draw every now and then though, meeow =)

See you guys on Monday =) Have a great weekend! =)

SMILEFACE - Ah thank you bro, will come check out your stuff on monday, and do some more things for enviros, I need to practice them =) Cheers bro! =) Have a good one! =)

The sketchbook pages in #1044 and in this last one
are a huge step in your advancement. Great job.
Still the proportions remain as an issue, but
you are working on that also, so there will be
    no problems.

That seems to be your problem and I know why this is.
Everyone on CA seems to have this mentality that they need to post everyday and show everyone how hardcore they can be by posting a pile of quick studies.. but it's just crazy!

If you want to show people stuff everyday, you can still do so. But keep in mind that you still need to take your time. For example, a photostudy shouldn't be rushed and if you want to make a really good photostudy then you should spend more time on it obviously (quick ones have their place). So if you feel that you want to show us stuff everyday but that photostudy isn't even far from done, then post a WIP..

We won't think any less of you, you know.

There are studies you can do quickly though.. like figure drawing. But even figure drawing should have it's long poses. So if you post 10 figures a day that you spent time on is equally (might even better) as valuable as quick ones.

    You need to do both!!

i've been looking for your works mate

again, thumb up for your dedication.

the plant and hands has some good quality. for your figures, try to connect lines between themselves, try to find continuity and flow so they can relate to each other.

the girl design in 1044 is pretty nice

    cheers

the dedication you have is great Edward!!!! These studies are paying actually. I already see improvement in the technique. Still need more training in the faces, and in overall in keeping the proportions. I am sure you will do it, you study a lot and that makes it a sure thing!!! keep it up!!!

good studies man i agree with loathsome try not to worry about finishing things fast because you want to post things just try to focus on really spending your time and doing a good job with the study i think once you start spending alot of time on your work youll see a good improvement maybe dont post something tell you have worked on it for two days (if its a study)

Great work Ed, you're wrapping your strokes around the form in that last sketchbook page with the eyes etc. and controlling your values really well. Good to see some 3d too but the sketches are massive progress - keep it up and have fun!

That banana is awesome. Half rotten, semi hard.
You nailed it right, and most of the girls would
be satisfied. The hand and character sketches
are becoming more solid and are shaded better than
before, however the last pose in #1059 is real wonky.
I feel the aroma of the banana and the taste of improvements.

Those arm studies are impressive and beautiful. They seem highly accurate and stylised at the same time, you are making them recognisably your own, I love it.
