MoKhi - Aww thank you for the compliment on my stuff =) I don't feel I really deserve it tho lull but thank you =) Sure thing, I plan to keep drawing faces and bodies for a while, so I'll keep practicing portraits and maybe scale them up a bit soon =) Cheers =)
ConnyNordlund - Hey bro =) It's qwl, I love it when you or anyone else gives me decent feedback, so don't worry about it =) Yip, I do a lot of observation drawing to help me to see things.. but you're right I need to work on structure so much it's not even funny.. I will keep practicing it until it gets waaay better than atm =) The first page are ref, but the second page is a mix, 1 from imagi, 1 from ref =) Third page is all imagi =) Ah cheers for the compliment on those, yip I was trying to draw in perspective =) I agree completely with on that, I don't like drawing mindlessely, particularly when I first started out, I had trouble maintaining focus and I had to keep drawing even though I couldn't focus properly. I think I'm slowly overcoming those issues though but yip, lots of work still to do =) Cheers for compliment bro, altho I don't deserve it lulls =)
Jam.00 - Lull.. that piece is so old I had almost forgotten about it.. Thank you for the compliment but I don't deserve it! =) Cheers =)

Hey friendo,
You're really coming along man! Likin' the digital girlie study above...her proportions look pretty good and skin tone will come as you work at it.
Overall your figure work is showing marked improvement...as in the pencils below her...so all your efforts are paying off!!
I'm diggin your wild boar and animal pencils/studies...they're looking quite good.
Hope all is well!

Hey Kunfoowiz, I really think you need to look at the negative space of figures right now. The work, especially the figure work, is looking a little wonky right now. Don't look at the details, just work on the figure as a whole. Treat it as a mass, and don't just see the figure, watch out for the negative space surrounding it as well.
Keep drawing, mate, and keep updating. I'll try and crit more substantially next time.
Hi, thanks for posting in my sb!
The new figures look a lot better. They don't look like they've got lumps of flesh stuck on now. They've got some anatomy. When you paint figures, do you make your colors as you go? Or do you lay out swatches before hand?
Something that one of my professors suggested (that helped me a lot) was to take some figure painting you admire and use the eyedropper tool to pull out a range of tones. It lets you see how much contrast and color goes into painting skin. You can either just look at them and then try to mix your own, or use them directly in your own study.
Hey Guys! =)
Sorry for no posting lately, been busy wrapping pressies and helping Santa deliver goodies and all that normal Chrismassy stuff =)
2011 has been so tiring.. I'm pretty happy to put it behind me tbh =)
Thank you to everyone for helping me with my art this year =) Merry Christmas guys =)
LtPlissken, Aragah, Izene, Jephyr X - Thank you for the nice comments guys =)
prsnsweeney, Vritra - Thank you for the feedback guys =)
MoKhi - Np =) For colours I try to get good values without being muddy, except my values are pretty bad =) Yip I choose colours as I go along, brushing them into one another =) Thank you very much for the advice =)
Hi 'Foo...good ta see ya back!
Nice schtuffz!! ^^^^^
You're really improving my friend...that bath-tub babe is one of your best figures yet! Seriously!
Good ta see the sketches too...and you know I'm gonna love da boid since I do so many boids myseff!! Seems like an appropriate winter palette...set off nicely by the complimentary reds of da boid.
So hope you can take some time to take a break over the holidays...sounds like 2012 kicked yer butt.
Have a Merry Christmas and happy holidays!!

I really like pages like this. You seem to sometimes have that.. i don't know, eloquent quality to your sketches
I love the bathtub girl. Always remember water reflects the colors around it. I try to keep this in mind when I paint water. Which isn't often since painting water is a pain in the butt. Your hardwork and progession in your SB is evident. I really enjoyed looking through it. Keep up the hard work!

hi dude
the bath girl is well done, perhaps some blending in the stomach.
the bird 's colors are greats too (textures and blending ...)
your proportions are getting better but keep paying attention to them, and u will achieve great results
Be sure not to get too comfortable with any one method haha. Keep it up your improving tons man.![]()
Ooh!Your are really improving!
I really loving your bird!Great strokes there!
Hey man! Keep practising! Do more studies from life in black and white. Your paintings look a tad transparent. Would like to explain more but I need to leave soon >.> - Will comment again later!

Can explain now! - You use to much line. Stop relying on it you bad boy- Your values are lacking and thus make them look flat and "transparent" like they don't really exist. I would continue grey scale life painting in order to obtain a better sense of how to make an object feel like you can lift it with your hand. I would also recommend not using photos for objects and convert colour to grey scale as well. Don't turn the photo to grey and so on. Just do it without that help.
I seem a tad harsh. But you have made good stride and progress and I hope to see more :3

Cowabunga dude!
It is very nice of you that you are helping Santa,
cause Santa is our big friend. Let's start with the
female in the bathtub. I can feel how she feels,
in there in a frozen water. She shaved her armpits
out of pleasure and between her legs it is very wet
and cold. She cut down her meat intake in the last
two weeks, I can see it in her eyes. Fantastic job.
The female in the ocean is great, I know that a
big shark will mangle her pretty soon and her body
parts will float on the oceans surface. Brilliant.
Your pencil studies are also improving, and I like
when you implement some little surprises, like
for example Raffaello's little dagger. Kitana also
likes daggers. I am very satisfied with your progress
and deeds. Because of this, I wish you a Merry Christmas
and happy holidays.
Hey man, just stopping by to say Happy Holidays! =)
And nice work overall, i love the last digis
See ya and take care!
Hey again!
The bird looks cool![]()
Your moleskin work has such great lines and energy, love them.
One thing I would say is maybe spend a bit more time on your digital studies to fix anatomical errors and get the human figure better sussed in your head
You've made great progress bro! There's much more sense of structure in those last drawings and the paintings are looking good as well. Keep it up!
