Hello.
Nice rendering of shapes in post 107 and the mouse in the next post, though it does look a bit like it is being attracted by the upper left corner ( try flipping the image horizontally).
Overall I say it is a good thing that you are working from Loomis, and also if you can purchase Vilppu's lessons those would be good too.
If you are looking for critique read on , if not then skip this paragraph : Before you move on to deep into color and rendering, there is some more work needed on proportions and underlying structure. Try constructing as many figures as you can from basic geometric shapes, from reference (or from a memorized proportion rule set if you feel brave), and while doing so occasionally flip the images you are working on ( if digital) , or look at the drawing through the paper towards the light (if you are not using too thick illustration board). Also don't work too tiny, fill an a4 with one pose.
Hiya Oddo!
Thank you for the advice bro, the colour ones were some fun stuff, needed a break from the studies.
I have some Vilppu books here, I need to go through them, just been busy with Loomis. I'll start mixing it up soon.
It's okay, I thoroughly appreciate critique, you're welcome to say if anything looks like sh*t, at least I know for next time not what do, hehe.
I'll get going on some basic construction for characters, thank you for this.
I normally use a mirror to check my work, for the mouse though, I was lazy and didn't do it. I'll try the light trick which you mentioned.
Keep well and thank you for the help bro.
