Great work from imagination, I see some good progress for sure. Keep doing studies to accompany the imagination work and do studies of different materials and fabrics too. Keep up the good stuff

Hey, crossmirage!! Awesome progress here, and I see you minded the suggestion above about saturating/desaturating colour to make things pop out! I notice you lightened up the farther arm and fist, and that's a good way to show distance. But you could even darken, sharpen, etc. the close arm because it is closer to us than the rest of the body. That too might bring out the figure more.

Oh, and the foot on that purple figure's right looks to be pivoted a little TOO much; that fella could end up doing the splits--it looks "slippery"! Mind you, I can do that and beyond with my foot, I just know that's what usually happens to me when I put my feet in such a position. Just make sure the stance is in a way that makes a viewer feel like, "Okay, that character is standing SOLID on their feet!"

Been in a serious funk these months... I don't have much to show besides some CHOW stuff and a little WIP thing for my ladyfriend. ;_; Feel free to let me know what can be improved. Or something.

I'm irrationally terrified of doing full-blown realism though. Maybe it's because I always get very impatient with myself halfway through, and the slightest mistake throws me off.

Heya - told you I'd pop by and I need to start keeping my promises to people on here.

this one's awesome.

I also quite like the last one - Portrait of a young lady. I actually think it's quite close to being awesome - right now you have too much flat colour in there, but the colour that you do have are going in the right direction. You have the peach and red skin tones playing off one another and the very light cyan-ish highlights to sculpt the form, they all just need to be a little more loosely applied. Kinda want to see brush strokes wherever I look - with subtle teals and lavenders woven into the fabric of the surface rendering. It also needs more edge variation I feel, and just some general sharpness. Feels a tad on the blurry side.

The IDW#138 entry is a wonderfully macabre and playfully morbid submission - I think one of your stronger entries in this thread. Watch the layout - pretty segmented and boring and I feel that the chains could have made it a ton more interesting and dynamic, but it's not that big of a deal.
