    HappyFatThing Sketchbook

So, here are some info about me
    - Im 17 and I am a senior in High School
    - I am looking into art colleges (art center, laguna college of art and design, SVA)

Anyways, these are my works from SJSU figure drawing drop in class. I've been doing figure drawing for 3-4 month now and I aim to get better everyday by studying Vilppu's and Andrew Loomis's books. I'm looking for a good book on perspective and color theory if you guys can recommend me some.

Im wondering if you guys can help me by pointing out to me on what i should work on thank you . I plan on updating my Sketchbook everyday so please check it out.

These images are done on a 18x24 rough newsprint paper with charcoal pencil.

    Pen+colored pencil practice on 8x11.5

also, it's taking me a long time for me to upload images. Since i take my pictures w/ a Sony cyber-shot camera, each picture ends up to be 2.3 mb. I upload it onto deviant art (uploading takes 1-3 min), and i upload it here by posting the URL. Do you know any other methods?

    GOOD

YOU HAVE A GOOD STYLE OF WORKING AND FLOW OF LINES. BUT I THINK THERE IS A SORT OF HARDNESS IN YOUR WORK. SHADES DON'T END UP GRADUALLY IT COMES TO END ALL OF SUDDEN. REST IS GOOD.

Hahaha, it's so funny to read that like he was actually screaming it.

Anyway, I like your sketches a lot!. But in a couple of your drawings I could see some really sharp areas where it should rather be more round, like in the 4th painting you posted with the man laying.
Other than that, keep the good work!.

(Also, the asses keep looking like cute faces, hahah)

first off i think you should use levels or contrast or curves to make your scans a bit darker and easier to read.

your gestures look nice, you just need to watch the proportions in a few places. thanks for coming by my sketchbook!

    Heyyy,
First off, thank you for commenting on my SB :]
I really like those two pen studies..The legs on them look a little short though.
The last girl on post #10 seems to have pretty short legs also..And her head seems a bit small.
Would love to see more! Keep drawinnnnn

Alright, this is my update of my digital drawing. I think the proportions are right and if you guys can help me point out some mistakes please do . Uhhh, the face is kinda awkward i'll work on that tomorrow.

ColorExcursion: thanks for the tip! Hopefully it looks right now.
