All of these are made from scratch, no manips. I use dogwaffle, twisted brush, artrage, (a very old version) , and adobe photoshop for some final tune-ups. All of these posted are done by me using a mouse. We print these out from sizes 5x7 up to 13x19 using tiff file format. We print out on glossy and matte papers depending on the subject matter. My wife has been getting great results using canon i9900 printer and the Qimage software, operating out of her HP pavillion lap top. Me.... i just use an old pressario pc...getting all filled up, and heading for the ether-hunting grounds soon.
It's hard for me to comment since abstract isn't my specialty, but from a technical stand point I can try to give you some tips. I would say to try and keep your pixels the same size if possible (for example some pieces seem to have chunks copied and pasted elsewhere but the pixel sizes are quite different). Also, if you can try to keep the liquify tool usage less noticeable- it instantly shouts "this part was done in PS"
