I think your digital work is more stronger than your traditional work. The Starscream has a lot of action going around.

For quick studies sometimes it helps to do one monotone color and just focus on lightening, form, and value. Color is more secondary. I seen people paint a lot of convincing nudes with just burnt sienna, for white highlights they just wipe away some of the paint to let the canvas shine through.

For some reason when I try to go to your sketchbook under your sig, it just goes to a "reply box" instead.

Nice studies mate, and yea dont worry cause as long as you keep up everything will become better.
I want to say that i find very interesting the work in post 8#.You got some really nice and clear forms when you started developing the painting more and more.
So keep up the practice
