    ancient china robot battle

hi, im new here. i currently working on my fantasy art class for this piece of illustration, hope to get some feedback and comment before i start coloring it. also hope to get some idea on how to color this, keep the line art ? or overlap colors on top like oil paiting styles?

    appreciate your help.

Welcome to ConceptArt.org, we're glad to have you!
This is a pretty fun pic Giant mecha bull vs. Robot man, classic. I'd say clean up the line work a little then color it, don't paint it. The line work carries a lot of energy and I don't think painting would gain you more than what it does. Clean out some of the lighter sketchy lines and refine the main characters then color it. When I saw it it reminded me of some of the art from the game Okami. Below is a pic related to it and I think you could do the same approach to line and colors and it'd work out well for you. I have more and larger pics like it and if you want them PM me.

Not bad at all, Your work is good can bring the message. But my opinion is the weight of lines are to heavy or to weak, for example all the teeth are too strong...

Otherwise, a lovely image with a good, dynamic composition. The colours are evocative certainly, but I feel the whole thing, rendering, linework etc. is too loose and must be tightened and sharpened for increased impact. Otherwise I would say you should study metallic surfaces to better shade them, but im unsure as to what substance (terracotta/plastic/ceramic/bone/stone) they are made of.
