need to get back in the groove

hello everybody im a graphic designer here in the dallas area, and have been pretty much vectored out (illustrator) and want to go back to basics w/ photoshop since most of the stuff i do i just layout and business cards, and also want to learn how to paint with wacom, the right way (im bad w/ mixing colors). I know this place is a cluster of information but If somebody could help/guide me to be able to re-learn color, paint, techniques, etc... I would be greatly appreciated,
