Greetings
I am a greenhorn on this forum but I was told that this is the right place where to go. To explain myself. I am struggling at the moment with this painting (it's not finished yet) but I can't make the stairs with the sunset look right. I didn't take any art classes so I would truly welcome any criticism because I want to improve my technical skill. I would be really happy for any thought.

Light travels in straight lines, not curves, but the light from your sun is hanging a left. That's why it doesn't look right to you.

It seems you are using acrylic colors and I feel that acrylic color not spread quickly. You must add some clean water into that after that start paint with yellow color to get sunshine stairs painting. So, this trick will help you to finish your painting.
