if its a character concept, i think the skull is pointless and random. also, i know you probably left the rock unfinished because you wanted the focus to be on the character, but id just finish the rock/cliff because its not significant enough to draw your attention to it rather the character.

either way, awesome rendering and his design is stellar

This is a great concept! I really like it, congratulations.
    Well, heres my critics:
About the backlight – it seems that you put a backlight glow, but there is no actual light coming from the back.
And I also agree with Euroption that you should either finish the cliff or remove it.

    Besides that, it's awesome.

its always a pleasure to see your work here mate. as far as critiquing goes i think the chest plate could pop out more, it hugs too closely to the left hand side of his body making his upper torso seem tube like. The knee plates could probably relate more to the shoulder and chest plates.

Love it to be nitpicky I'd like to see some more space on the right (his left) to see the full blade tip and some less on the left (his right) so it doesn't end up so centred

Hello Adrian. Ok first of all i have to say thats an awesome character, with great design and the face is just perfect for me.
Because i am not very good with words here i made a quick paintover showing something that can be applied in overall under the certain conditions.
For the example i did it in the torso armor, which i found lovely

I hope this helps somehow even if it may become useless for this one
Keep up the good work, and if you find the time, i would appreciate some opinions in my sketchbook, from you...

    see ya

Wow, this is beautiful. I could be totally wrong on this, and I don't know if you have a reference photo, but on the guy looking down, I can't shake the feeling that either is right eye is a teeny bit too high, we're seeing a teeny bit too much of the left side of his face, or his nose is a teeny bit too far to the left or he's got some asian in him, as there is a little bit of flatness to his face. I think maybe it's just the eye being a teeny bit too high.

BTw. . I couldn't do this. . I'm just being really picky since you asked for crits.

Hah! I wish I could tell you something, but I'm unable to see a thing wrong with it. (Although his face may be zoomed out too far, I think, if you want really picky crits on it.)

really awezome. though something im noticing about the anatomy, your making very short necks, short arms, and long legs. it makes them look a little bit weird, and not really sure im ur characters are very tal or very short.

I love the headdress and hair on the blade master! Really excellent design there.

As for the new drawing; it's good, but I think the armour is hiding some mistakes in the underlying anatomy.

    This is what I see:

    1) The head seems small - but the proportions of the figure are quite correct. I think it's because his legs and boots are so wide (their length is right, but look around his knees and angles, for instance; they are just very thick). The big pauldrons, boots and gauntlets work in Blizzard's and Warhammer's art, but I'm not sure that especially the boots fit so well with the rest of your concept...

    2) His eyes are a bit too far apart - moving the right eye (his left) a bit closer to the other should do the trick.

    3) Something is wrong with his shoulder. Try to draw the anatomy below the shoulder armor - I think his shoulders are too wide, making his right arm look disjointed from the torso. His left shoulder seems OK.

    4) Maybe consider making his right arm just a bit longer.

    5) Purely subjective, but I'm not crazy about the design of the gauntlets. Heh, dunno, they just seem rather robotic.

    Beautiful character concepts, though!

dam you work fast, i love the detail you put into your characters. the red lightinh peaking through his crotch might be a little bit much tho.

Um, now that it's zoomed in, I think is left eye (viewer's right) is definitely a tad too high.

The thing that is bothering me a bit is the hairline, looks like is too much to the viewer's right, making it look not in the same plane as it should..

    Love the piece, though

umm, i hv some ideas about the shoulder pad, i think making the horn sharp is better, because u did make the horns in the rest of the armor sharp, just to show a better feel of the whole design, ....err sorry for my bad english hope u get what i mean -__-a

thanks guys, worked on alot of stuff.. well with the shoulder..... It should be like this later on when the chracter is going to be modeled he'S goign to have a set that is better than this and there'll be horns on his shouders

here is the back view which isn't finished if you have something to say I'd be glad to hear!!
used something like a part of a dragon spine to stabilize the gear construct

Something seems wrong about her shoulders and the hand holding the gun seems small (actually both are a bit on the small side). Something seems off about the her toes, as well.

    Nice rendering, tho.
