Your less detailed sketches are looking much better in terms of anatomy and proportion compared to your more detailed stuff. Try getting that sort of (lack of) detail as a base, and then slowly working the details into it. I'd also recommend lots of anatomy studies rather than imagination. Your anatomy is all bits and pieces at the moment - the hand on the little girl stabbing the big guy is great but two below that the headhunter girl is looking very dwarfy and oddly necked. Also, remember to draw things other than people :p it'll broaden your skills as well as your portfolio.
Three tips from seeingyour stuff so far
- stay away from soft brushes at the moment
- be very patient with getting form correct before detailing
- flip your canvas often to check your form
nice value studies. I think thats where I need to start before jumping on the color boat.
yea man diggin thisx

i like your silhouettes! cool char designs over all!
i think you could benefit greatly from using cleaner brushstrokes, longer lines, and more defined shapes.
keep things less messy, and less smudgy.
keep it up! and do lots of anatomy studies, full body figures from reference etc.
