Not a big fan of that white background you gave the chow, from what i saw in your other work, you could do better
The bat drawing came out nice, love the mood.

the studies look really really good!
Some of the colours in your paintings could be improved. You tend to go
with the obvious choice for certain objects. Grass and tress are bright green,
rocks and metal are gray, skin is pinkish beige etc. with shadow and highlight being the same hue & saturation.
You can clearly tell that you already know about translucency and bounce light but you don't always commit to it fully.
I hope you get what I mean^^

Brilliant work! Do you have any advice for getting the blended skin tones that give such solidity to your paintings? Whenever I paint skin (or anything else really) it always comes out rather rough or loose, and the forms aren't very clear. Really loving the highlights on the goblin/troll/orc face.

AnnaHollinrake - All I can say is just to keep at it, do studies etc. Sorry for the lame response but it's the truth. I took alot from what I learned from the Tom Hanks study to the orc portrait that I did right after. Do studies and then try to apply it to something after so you don't just do a study and then forget about it.
