Hello All!
I'm pretty new here still. Long time visitor, first time sketch poster/new member.

Anyway here is my first sketch study on ConceptArt, from reference (30-40 minutes):

She's a pretty good sketch, but the proportions on her neck and her left arm look a little off. Neck looks a bit heavy, arm a bit thin. Hope that helps!

hey man grats on the sketchbook! start bombarding with those pencils you will see progress fast the more you draw, try drawing every day even hour or two or four it all helps.

Your anatomy studies are going well - it looks like you're really using your resources to their greatest extent. Some helpful tips while you're working:
- If you see pictures or diagrams drawn in the anatomy book, copy them out onto a separate piece of paper, making notes of important stuff as you go along.
- While you're working, keep perspective in mind. I know it might not seem like much now, but if you apply perspective principles properly then you'll add a great deal of "punch" to your artwork.
- When you're rendering, focus on describing one plane at a time. I know that might sound a little odd at first go, but think of simplifying your shapes into three or four flat surfaces - lit surfaces and shadow. Try rendering them like that, then work on the transitions. Combine that with perspective and you, sir are golden!
- pick a book to study over a week or so - read and take notes on it. As time goes by you'll find that the principles described within will help you immensely. Try the Loomis books if you like - they're great for beginners and they have plenty of information you can look at.
