here is a new image, maybe I´ll have time to make some more stuff soon. hope you like it
and another quick one
and another one![]()
hey great environments Android411! your interstellar lighthouse is coming along well![]()
thank you very much Darknight, really appreciate it...
You have some really great stuff too on your page. I´m going to leave a comment the next time...
cheers
Nice work so far!
You could really push your environments a lot further if you work out your focal points more carefully. Also in some of your images the color contrasts and values are a bit too much all over the place which makes them hard to read. It's kinda hard for me to find a place to rest for my eyes, they jump all over the image instead of finding a clear point of interest. I'm looking forward for more![]()
aiRaGe Thank you very much for leaving a comment. I will try to improve the things you mentioned. I´m going to leave a comment at your great sb too...
Here is a small update of my interstellar lighthouse
so here is the next update
here´s a new sketch, I think I will work a bit more on this soon...
so here is a next update
Nice work on the environments - I like the interstellar lighthouse in particular! I would recommend working on your perspective skills a little as there are a few places things look a little off, but good work nonetheless!
Keep it up
thanks Lightpunk! Yeah I have to study perspective much more, right now I´m concentrating on composition but I already planned to make some perspective studies...

changed the latest eow
Nice! I can tell your environments are stronger than your figures. Keep up those figure studies and you're sure to get better...you're headed in the right direction. Nice sense of perspective in your environments as well![]()
Nice envirosI can see great application of texture.
I think it would help push you further if you practiced some of the techniques of environment artists you enjoy. Also do some more speedies to help the creative process out.
thanks so much for your replys guys. I definately have to try out speedies. Right now I´m doing compositional studies and try to get as many tutorials as I can . Hope to improve my compositions that way...
see you
first image after long time. I have to make a new image for our pizzeria. This will be quite big in size at the end (A2, 16,5 x 34 inches) , at least big for my computer. This is mostly from the imagination. Where I have lots of trouble is the foreground. But I´m still learning...
Nice landscapes, that last piece is lovely
Keep it up!
You are really pushing yourself with these environments and that is great. Two things, really make sure you have aerial perspective close to the top of the list of things goin on in your head when you do these. The difference between the stronger environments and your weaker ones, are do they give the illusion of space.
The other thing is probably a preference problem, but having 100% pure white in a large section of your piece usually kills alot of the depth for me. In most of the images you have it in, its in random locations of the sky. Try to use that high contrast right where you want it, further push the focal point with it yknow?
Keep pushing yourself! goodluck
Just have fun.

thanks so much for your reply guys.
@Aveh - I will try to think about the things you mentioned
here is a new one. I tried to be as consistend as possible with lighting and colors. I willl have to bump this up to a larger file size and go over the details...
here is also a nighttime study of the image. So I tried to follow the rule, cool light warm shadow. this was done quite fast though...
here is my latest eow submission, hope you like it
You have some great advice in this sketchbook so far. I really like your environments. Some critique for your the dark coven entry: The composition is solid but I feel like various small details are missing. Why is the sky so bright if it's a deep thunderstorm? Is the roof of the small building/church raggedy? Why is the cross on the gravestone on the left/front sideways? More trees? If the details were polished more I think this could be effective. Nice touch with the torch reflections - that would increase the quality of this.
Good to have you aboard the EOW.
Keep doing you

Great work, Keep pushing yourself man.
that´s some really great advice guys, I will try to avoid that with the brightness in my skies for sureDon´t know why I do this error over and over again. Seems to be a reflex or so
I will gather also some reference and try to fix the other issues
see you
so here is an update of the EOW151 entry. I think I´m quite done with it. Thanks again for the advice.
