Ah, I should have read this before, but I painted over the girlie to show you what I meant by hard-edged [or hard round. everyone calls it a "hard round brush"].

I'm not really that pro, but I put down a couple pointers that I think will help.

Jaytea - aw man that's awesome, I knew most that stuff but it's super nice of you. I made some obvious shading mistakes you made apparent, I love getting paint overs for the very reason it makes me aware of mistakes i keep making. Thanks for it dude.

So I wanted to do something less boring than studies, and not an enviro this time, and I haven't done to many full body things here, so an angel is in order.

Nice anatomy and design on the last painting. The skin tones are looking kinda dull though. Study skin tones! It will definitely help make your paintings more interesting. You're doin good man, keep it up

Hey mate thanks for stoppin' by at mt book.

I think that you should leave the digital studies as for now, grab a pencil or vine charcoal and focus on construction, observe try to draw things in 3d, you have to learn to actually construcy objects.
Anyhoot it's starting to look better tons of hard work and it'll be good ;]

But hey noone ever said learning art is going to be fast and easy, art is about doing the difficultt stuff simple, and thats the most difficult! ;D

It’s been a while since I’ve been here and I can see you’re working hard. I like the EOW and the fruit are coming on. The angel’s legs are different lengths or the foreshortening is wrong. Filtering the glass is sort of lazy, but we’ve all done it. As you can see glass does have some very dark colours in it. Now finish that SP – it would be even better if you did one from a mirror, so you have to look hard at yourself and be honest.

The forum is being changed and sometimes it throws a glitch.

hey Blackspot thanks for stopping by, let me say YES MAM! (to most of it) - on the angel I think the foreshortening is behaving weird because I didnt define the knee enough.

I'll show you how I did the self portraits soon cant have people thinking I cheated.

cool thumnails man certainly a lot better than mine and i like the face, the nostirl on the left side of the image probably shouldn't show as much though & i think her skin colour is a little saturated too. othewise awesome work man

These heads are even better than the last batch infact looking at them i realise i make the top of the head too small i thinks it's great that we can see the underlying skull structure, i should try that as well cool Eow entry, looks great so far
