Looking at the last few pages, one thing that stood out to me was how saturated your colored pieces tend to be! It's great that you don't mind being bold and using highly saturated colors, but at the same time, don't forget to be careful and make sure that you're not having *everything* be extremely saturated. Maybe doing some color/lighting studies would help you get your focus!
HAHAHA, Triple Optics is amazing! AND BROTHER THOSE CHAL PIECES ARE KICKASS! The creature is soo cooool!

Hey mate!
I've looked through you sketchbook from page one and I must say, you've made great progression. You're really devoted to this, and I have no doubt in my mind you will suceed to get to whereever you want to take your artistic journey.
I always try to think of something to critique - Perhaps it would do you good to do some more casts. Maybe one really long to get a deeper understanding of form.
By they way, you are 5 post from 4000!
/Nick
XD I love that last one. The little imp guy is great.
Lol I say I hate painting because it hates me back![]()
but seriously though, I just have trouble raping my head around it while I'm doing it. I understand the basic concepts just fine it's just applying those concepts that gets me
tripppplee Opticssoh yeahh bro , awesome new updates!
wow, i think you've evolved into a new pokemon while i was gone, great stuff man!![]()
Keep up the good work!
Amarok - yea, your right. im still trying to figure out a good color balance! ill be working on it though, so thanks man!
Aaron_ - thanks man!! our team seems to be dropping like flies! ! ! oh well, i guess that means less work all together right?
Egbu - thanks man!! appreciate the kind words!!
Nikoh - wow! thank you very very much!! thanks for taking the time to browse all of it! theres quite a bit haha. and i have never attempted a cast study. i dont have any casts myself, but maybe i should take a few days out and head to the museam or something. i think your right though, the patience to continue on something is my biggest problem right now, so i think it could do a lot of help to just saddle up and push thrugh one. thanks again!
SpaceJelly - haha thanks!!
Medusoid - yea i hear ya man!! thats what every artist struggles with. trying to apply the fundamental training to your own vision. its never ending, but it always amazes me just how intricate something simple like values can be.
Yor - haha thanks Yor!! you rock bro!!
Alrap - haha thanks!! but im not gonna sorry. was just a goofy warm up doodle!
Lav - haha leveled up? not sure, ive got my head in a book 24/7 haha. thanks Lav!!

Nice progress since the last time i saw your sketchbook.I like the narrative on the first page form the post #2210.If i may, i have a suggestion for the second panel.Right now is just a zoom up from the first one and the camera points from below the character. It looks like fallen instead of "prior to landing".I think you could connect that panel with the third in a more progressive way.Like: first panel as you did, second panel the body rotating toward the camera(the land point of view) and in preparation for the strike and then, the third panel as you did.Anyway, just a personal opinion.Keep it up with the good work.
that is gonna be one creepy creature!, can't wait!
DIMAGYAN - hey man! thanks for the idea! it definately works much better than what i originally had!! i will try it out! thanks!!
Yor - haha i was just gonna leave it a little doodle, but when Yor is expecting something from you, you just dont say no haha. its just some fast sloppy colors, but i want to keep pushing it if i can find the time...

Nice values in this last one, was it done from a photo or life? Just curious.
I love your sketchy linearts a lot especially the faces. The character on each person's face reads really well. I can imagine this style/approach would be great in comics.
So I hear you need a new teammate....why not just ask your neighbor...
Love that value sketch at the end, its one of my favorite you have done. Did you use 100% opacity and flow to pen pressure? Looks like it was something along those lines!
Gogogogogo man!
