    you sir, are a MANIAC!!
In what time period did you make those sketchbooks, a year, 5 years, 4 months, what time are we talking about here? I don't like how lazy you make me feel
But my finals are over, i'll catch up to you... some day!!

Anyways, i really like the Bison sketch but eventhough they're just sketches you have to mind the anatomy, guile for example is very "wobbly" (that's a word right?) Bison works better ebcause of his simplicity, sometimes it's better to just give the gesture of muscles instead of doing it overdetailed.

    Hi Nicky.
Your linework is looking better and better. Just remember to have a good solid structure before you take the designs further.
    Keep it up.

just stopped by to say hello, its been awhile. 42 sketchbooks?! Is that since the beginning of your drawing career? I wish I would keep mine.... I usually get disgusted after like a few months and give them away or toss them (I know I am trying to stop).

Some crits for ye': I think you should do a lot of study from life, I probably say that a lot lol sorry if it's getting repetitive. I still study from life as much as I can even though I don't have a lot of time to do so and I feel that every time I do it helps. Lastly, take your time with things even if you feel like its taking a long time. That aside its always so impressive to see how far you come! I love the graeae(sp.?) a couple pages back they look really creepy. Are some of those drawings you post done on photoshop?

As a fan of Comics, I must say your work is inspirational. I love your sketches on street fighter. Guile looks great. The mutant would be excellent in a videogame.

Man! I like that you are not shy! You try very bold design with tough poses. I really like that. This last demon is great! Very good work on the anatomy as well.
I am also loving your pencil drawings. Great rendering.

hey man, good job on the heads, the real deal is having them connect adequatly to the body :] that`s where it gets tougher
zombie dude is cool, his pants do not fold like pants rather like he`s mumified in `em.
he looks like a gamer though - his right arm hurts from repetetive stress injury from clicking away on a mouse all night :]
also watch out with the white "rim" light creeping inwards from his silhouette (google spell checked :0 ) you`ve added that and on top of it a darker outline.
The form turns there making it softer - like the sides of a barrel, but right now you`ve
flattened him significantly. let me know if that makes sence or not - i can explain it better by drawing it i promise :]

    Phade01 - thanks alot man!!

    PxelSlayer - haaha

Mattinian - first off- huge thanks for stopping in here! i am a HUGE fan!! and i think i see what you mean about the rim lighting, i was planning on erasing the darker outline, but forgot to. if you wanna take a shot at an overpaint id appreciate that greatly! thanks again!

    -----------

rough idea sketch for an illustration im gonna be doing for . the challenge is to illustrate an image based on some of your favorite song lyrics. two of my favorite things are music and art, so im pretty excited about this.

the song i chose was "Immigrant Song" by one of my all time favorite bands Led Zeppelin.

Yo Nicky - Way to keep at it. You progression is really starting to ramp up! On this page in particular, your rendering chops and line work have really taken a few steps in the right direction. Lovin the sketch page on 1282 and the final render you did in 1273 of the mutant demon character. The life in your characters also really starting to show through.

My two cents would be to continue to experiment with various kinds of edges. Use razor sharp and soft edges alike, and everything else in between to accurately describe your forms. For instance, on the king/throne piece, I'd try maintaining some of the soft edges you had in your early wip, while also bringing in some of the harder edges you did later on.

Great stuff. Hope to see more.
