Nice studies, keep it up!
Kinda Bleated but I love the blue one, It is very atmospheric.
For storms will rage and oceans roar
When Gabriel stands on sea and shore
And as he blows his wondrous horn
Old worlds die and new be born.
Please visit my Sketchbook and leave some comments.![]()
toxic: Thanks!
serio: I will! Thanks!

mincx: what?
danny: wawawaawa thanks a lot!
Hey. here's some concept work

study from today
trying to be more stroke-y.. block-y.. eh yeah.
More selective with my strokes, I guess. It's pretty fucking hard though..
Going to do more of these.
Hey bro, the values are looking pretty qwl =) Not sure about the beard volume, maybe not pick at it so much, see like a light and a shadow side and define those maybe,, just a thought.. hope it helps. Guud luck with your next study bro and nail it! =)
Love the sketchy brushstrokes on the last ones, great values
I love those creatures with the big eyes, really nice how you made their form look good, the portrait of the man could be pushed value wise more darks in the eyes area and creases between cheecks and beard and mouth.
Later alligator

Nice! I like the two creatures, nicely rendered and a nice feeling of the forms. Keep this up!
you've got some nice values in those figures up there, with good warm bouncelight and lighting. Watch the edge of the heads, makes the look a bit flat.
defiled: Man I've been feeling this when I do the heads. It's simple forms, but yet I manage to screw them up.. gah. I should go back to the basics for a bit.
alexon: Thanks!
danny: Yeah you're right, I kept it like that cause the values were easy with the darks. That's why there aren't real blacks anywhere.
feil: Thank you!
kung: yeah I laid down too much steps in value on the beard. I'm actually trying to go for that brushy look that for example craig mullins and singer sargent does. look them up and you'll see what i mean.
---
another portrait.. dunno what to think about it. It's ok I guess. I actually think it's a bit flat, the other one was a lot better.
been feeling a bit dull this week, that's why I haven't posted too much. I'll try to do better, I'm a bit stuck right now. I don't know why.

Hey bro.. you mention it's a bit flat, looking at the piece, I think it's mostly flat around the bridge of the nose (brow) area and in between the eyes there. One more value to show the recession of the sockets could help I think. Hope that helps =) Guud luck with your next study bro =)
danny: Yeah, I spent some time gaming and stuff like that. To get away for a while. I think it worked I feel a lot more energized now.
Kungfoo: Yeah I noticed this too. If I remember right I think the photo looked a bit confusing with the values.. or it was super settle. I don't know. Thanks!

I'll start doing my livestreams again too![]()
Nice studies loathsome i like the last one more but maybe just because its more refined, showing improvement though! glad to see you got da internet again too. I usually listen to comedy when painting, laughter in the background keeps me in a good mood, will check back soon
Sometimes we always get stuck to really get inspired. Stupid art blocks or fogs or whatever =p. But great digital stuff so far and I like your just using grays with black and white.
Grattis till internetet, ska bli kul o se mer posts![]()

From my personal project, Adam's Dream.
This bird lives in a tiny area in the Rihori forest of the dream world. It lays it's eggs around the small area which grows roots. The eggs end up looking like trees. This is why the people of Rihori calls this area "The bubble trees". The bird lives on a very small but high rock in the middle of these "trees".
When the eggs are ready, they come out like a slimy lump right out of the stomach. Kinda like seahorses give birth. Except, the eggs will now grow into these trees.
Tjenaa, gillar ditt senaste portätt som fan, påminner om Blc.
Ett tips till ditt egna projekt är att göra de i 3/4 view, typ snätt uppifrån, på det sättet får man ut mest av concept designen.
I love these peeps.
Ludic: Ah jo du har rätt. Ska göra fler så. Gjorde den i profil för att göra det lätt för mig D: tänkte ändå rita han flera ggr eftersom det är en större karaktär i spelet.

NEW PODCAST EPISODE
http://treefortress.blogspot.com/
Really like how solid you make the poses in posts like #322 #470 and #490
You got some nice studies in #490 & the zombie/undead is really nice and feels more dynamic than most of your outher output - and it got highlights and more light (kind of missing some of that on the chest, but the nice rendering of the melting flesh of the face makes up for it.
the #502 is outstanding - like the content, composition and excecution
There is a very nice progression going on as well - love the progression from say #339 to #490 and #502, even if I can see that it's coming in the study you did in #339.
The ideas seems to grow as well, but that could just be taste I guess
ser bra ut ~![]()

Dan: Wow thanks a lot, I appreciate it!

Going to make more of those
One thing I find a bit strange with the anime tech for building faces is it's usage for your own pieces - it seems so easy to fall into doing the same as before - as in constructing everything after a blueprint model.
Or I kind of feel that most of the time when I see it used you get something very generic - or I do see the use for it in correcting mistakes in your characters, but to start out with it? Wouldn't a gesture line or several quick scratches and a doodle of what you want be more interesting? & Did you start out thinking that this was the character you wanted to make and then you did it, or was it more that you decided to make a head and this came out?
It looks fine by the way, just looks a bit like so many other sullen anime male heroes - esp. from fanart pages.
Anyway it's cool to see process shots, and fun to hear other peoples taste in music ~
