    J.F. (start from sketch)

In the beginning was the pencil, and the pencil made scratches in the image of the mind.

I have a large amount of respect for your artwork. I don't even know for sure, why. I look around a lot, like to stroll around "the very best" to get inspired.

From a technical standpoint this stuff isn't the very best, and I'm not really one to talk, but it has something BETTER than the wicked realistic lighting schemes or masterful brushstrokes. It has a style to it, and a feeling that you've been able to very strongly bring to life.

I would encourage, at the moment, two things: The first being, presentation. You've got some great work, but I feel that some simple contrast tweaking before posting it up could make it jump out and seem a lot more professional. These ten second little tweaks could make a big difference.

The second being, do more. I am without very many sketchbooks to frequent, I wish I had more of them. I want this to be one of them.

Many cheers to you for now.

As I browse through this sketchbook, I cannot help but think just one thing...WTF is that giraffe doing in that tree!!?

No, seriously though, you have some really elegant drawings here. Nice linework, smooth as silk. I am looking forward to seeing more.

Gonna throw some stars at this one.

Self portrait done back on nov 1st for self portrait day ...never got submitted...till now...lost on a flash drive...long story...now i cant find that thread
thanx all for the inspiring comments...
most of my recent projects including this one is done mainly in Corel Painter and finished in Photoshop...kinda of nice with this piece...learned with the tablet if you hold down two of the buttons it rotates the canvas to work on as if it were a sheet of paper....makes it easy...learned allot with this piece...
