I sometimes create a simple 3D base to nail the perspective, it saves lots of time doing concepts, cities and other things that would normally force you to work with a ruler.
I am getting away from this method doing illustration work, will only use it for conceptual work as it tends to create a rather technical and at times a somewhat stiff look.

As i mentioned earlier i am working on a bigger portfolio update and want to share a little glimpse on the upcoming work with you by posting a small teaser image.


Also i did not really want to make a 'Fanpage" but since the maximum number of friends is limited on Facebook and we are getting there... i figured it will not hurt to make a page...

I do not understand how you are doing so soft shapes and shade on this last girl!
It is very inspiring!

that's not very hard. This image has a 3d base, so it is not a very good example. But if you want this from scratch you just paint as you always do, then use the Smudge tool ( i usually use it at about 20%) and blend all edges, then paint with a soft airbrush on a new layer, then go down with the layer opacity to blend the layer with your image. Repeat the process until its all perfectly smooth, then make sure to have crisp edges, some rim-light will help too.
