Within these pages you'll visit the undead realm of Orr, meet the mysterious sylvari, and behold the fiery war machines of the charr. This book is a must-have for any Guild Wars fan."

Here's the cover to the art book, and it's quite neat! Daniel (Tinfoil) composed it. It's made up of a ton of cool line art and sketches by a lot of the guys and gals here... maybe they'll post some for ya!!! (Matt, Levi, Jaime, Rich...) The text stuff as well as the entire book layout was done by the super talented Mr. Andrio Abero! The book really does look fantastic and Andrio took the art direction and ran with it keeping the layout both stylish and clean. We'll post a couple of product shots soon as we get a release date!
Show up to PAX if you can, we're signing and handing out a lotta books!
    Oh man... GREAT NEWS!!!!

I was hoping for this book... I´ll be saving my money and keeping an eye on Amazon for it.

I'm sure it will be a success, you guys deserve it!

Man, this definetely raised my mood...

ive been playing guild wars alot recently, and noticing that tranfer from concept visuals to 3d visuals is pretty close, the 3d team do a good job of capturing the concepts, also evidence in the gw2 teaser the transfer from concept to ingame is insane

    cant wait for this release

You guys make me want to:
-buy an art book [which hasn't ever happened, because I'm cheap]
-buy a new computer for Guild Wars 2
Just ... I saw the first thread here. And this work is better. I didn't think it was possible to progress from the first one, either.

    Excellent!

For some time I have recented Guildwars 2, the reason is because I learned of its coming just when I started to get good at Guildwars. The fact that Guildwars is going to be K.O. by GW2 is quite annoying for those of us that have worked so hard on the first game. It's sort of what you have invested in was for nothing and that has made GW2 somewhat impopular to many GW players.

Just by looking at this trailer I realized how wrong I was, this is going to be one hell of a game featuring a mind blowing world that surpasses any game out there so far, well worth to be called Guildwars 2 and just by the looks of it I dare to say I'll trade Guildwars for Guildwars 2, evolution must take place and the next face of Guildwars evolution is near, so sweet!

The art works in the current Guildwars campaigns are impressive and it is a relieved for me to see the second part looks even better, good job.

    Thanks.

i LOVE it when you make stuff like that Matt! All those honeycomb-like organic patterns, you did some landscapes like that for the other games as well, right?

Looking at these images brings back the thrill I had as a child when first looking at The Art of the Empire Strikes Back in the early eighties. I wanted to sit in that bookstore studying the book all day, and hoped my parents would never take me away to our next shopping destination. It's inspiring to see the different directions a design could have gone in, and especially so when the subject is science fiction or fantasy (or the hybrid between the two that the Asura represent). Great work M.C. Barrett!

Incredible! I'm developing http://www.ratasum.com (Community site) at the moment; these will definitely help inspire the design of it.

The trailer in-game shots of the Asura locations are awesomely epic.

me2wired and bombertaylor... Same here all of a sudden. Maybe a temporary problem with the server. An art site isn't very useful if you can't see the art.
