I am working on a composition of Late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan...my favourite singer. these are some observational sketches of him. the final piece is work in progress, put it up in while....here are the gestures and postures sketches
these are some smiley structures in different eras...its a world within our world effected by our auras....smile/happiness produce bright auras so the base of each structure is a smile.
thumbnails and closeup of the above environments.
its the start of the composition and quite messy....i want to show different gestures during singing...left side gestures are almost decided hav to work on the rite side of it.....the green strip will b the glow from ring.....need suggestions regarding composition and fade out values of the gestures.....criticism required!!!
thanks for commenting on my SB. I love that rikshaw painting! the values really help it read well. I like that the interior feels like an actual space and the vehicle feel nicely seated in its environment. Nice whimsical use of color too. keep thinking in terms of simple value to make these images pop. good job, keep it up
thank u Bill Main for being the first one commenting on my sketchbook and appreciating.....good to hear ur advice abt color values coz i realy love the way u use ur colors...looking forward for more suggestions
cheers
its an hour sketch......comments!!!!
its a quick pastel excercise....showing traditional puppets at night after the show
this is a landscape study of muzafarabad...its a WIP
this is a quick character sketch.....working on its turnarounds....comments!!!
hey...commen plz
Great lighting/colours on your muzafarabad study. I'd like to see this one completed![]()
its 75% complete
i love that black sheep speed paint, it really made me laughon your image with the guy in the bear suit his right hand seems a bit long & the girl's hips seem a bit low so it's making her legs seem short. hope that helps
i like the attitude you give your characters
DRAW UNTILL IT HURTS
AND THEN DRAW SOME MORE
okay now... its not a 100% complete but almost done....i want to blend the sky a bit more...a bit smooth..any ideas????
Looking good! If you do decide to blend the sky in, be careful with your paint strokes...be sure they are following a natural flow. For example, looking above the guy on the left. Follow way above his head to the where the clouds are forming a peak. Here you can see the paint flowing up them over and down. This flattens the cloud a bit. If the same space was made of up horizontal strokes or a series of smaller curved strokes it give more depth. Great mood - keep it up.
very nice contrast in the last one, nice colors and all, i only think that the clouds can be worked a bit more. but that's really just fine tuning
good start an keep it up!
i really like how you try to use a full range of color

hmmm....now it is quite done for me....i m not vry happy wid the sky though .....updating it for some feedback
looks good, i think there's a lack of clouds on the upper left & right though, on the left there's plenty clouds right above the house but the space above those is a bit empty, or maybe they just need a bit more rendering![]()

comments plz....this is the final peice with a bit of variations....any suggestions!!!!
wow really nice sunset.
Personally I like the bluish variation the most
Judging from where the sun is, the characters and the rock they are standing on should have some rim light I think. Something subtle, to not ruin the image, which is already beautiful as it is
Also, are the clouds supposed to be something? One of them looks like some kind of animal\monster stretching his arm to touch something![]()
hey thanx Morgado 4 suggesting the color variation.....actually the clouds arent supposed to b something i used a real reference to draw this peice, but it feels gr8 that u spot a monster in it....i think i shud make another one with more exageration in the clouds.....cheeers!!!!
Hello hello! I like your study. In your previous works your forms/edges need some more definition I think. Continue to work work work! I'd like to see more studies too!

Hey maria, its good to see you here!
You need to work on your color contrast to push and pull objects to be in focus. The landscape you are working on is coming out nice, Do lots of more of such sort. I like the defined edges. Do look at forms environmentoring classes in mentoring section. Very helpful info there.

its a quickie landscape of kaghan valley with reference
its a WIP
Interesting and a bit crazy ideas ) Liked this vehicle and sundown ) So far all enviro's are good, but i guess you lack skills in character drawings. Good luck in the future )
This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time.

Go and visit them:
Odayga's Sketchbook of wonderfull creatures
Kostas's Sketchbook of great comitment to art
Wreck Age Game
Mountain Wheel
The colors and treatment on that last enviro are very nice. The foreground plane is a bit too dull, compared to the other elements though.
