I made kind of a reference sheet for orientation:

OK, I thought a bit about our concept:
-First I'd say, that we should go for a horror-stlye. That means: Medieval fantasy characters mixed with modern horror-elements. For example: Canibal witch-->Mix of Freddy Krueger, The Witches, Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Maybe we cann add a chainsaw to a character or something...
Also I saw that it seems kinda "cool" to use japanese elements. Dunno why, could be cool but could be not. Let's keep ours "american"
-Second: I saw some teams doing postapocalyptic sci-fi fantasy but I thought it should be more "oldschool", medieval fantasy... ???
And at least, here is my first sketch stuff for my witch. This is the evil version
Oh, one last thought: Speaking of fantasy and horror---> Army of darkness/ Evil Dead??!!

Another witch sketch. I finished both sketches for good and evil today and will start coloring tomorrow. More updates soon..

Ok here are some WIP's and thoughts
First of all, the finished outlines, ready to color...
Little explanation to the characters:
Good witch(left)--> Very old Gipsy witch, travelling from town to town telling people the future with her crystal ball.
Evil witch(right)-->She is hungry, she needs human flesh! She rides on her rusty rifle (uses it like a broom-->boomstick--->Evil dead)through the night to shoot some people for dinner.
My thoughts on the setting: Characters facing each other, landscape/background changes from a pleasent to an unpleasent mood. (From light to dark) I had some trouble with the colors to fit together but I think I got it now.
For that I made some color keys
Used this first color key to change my "already thrown in" colors.
Next time I'll show how it fits together with the lineart but it needs some more work until than...
Note: Maybe add some ravens/crows to the evil side(?)...
I asked myself what's the reason for the evil version. Why the friendly old witch changes into an evil bitch witch? Maybe one solution could be, that every year to "Walpurgis"-Night the dark side raises in her and she becomes very hungry. She has a huge appetite for human flesh than and takes out her rusty rifle, to shoot some tasty boys and girls...
Now work goes on...![]()
Ok, after having some trouble with the colors I'm happy with this version. Very close to finish...
