I wake up, come here and immediately see: "new stuff" with "Dobsky" and I squeel in delight.

Such a visual reward this morning. Beautiful paintings!

GEE-orgeous... to borrow a phrase from my 4 year old daughter who always says "The old jokes are the best ones" (where do kids get these sayings?)... I'll just say "The old techniques are the best ones".

I'll echo Elwell's comments about your streetscapes... breathtaking.

    Kudos!

The froth of white petticoats on Layil is just incredibly well handled. As is everything else.... Beautiful.

i'm definitely digging the new background on the henry portrait. he recedes just a bit now and it lends this air of foreboding to the piece.

Beautiful work, "Art Dad". Wish I was there to see them in person, in finality and process. The fan brings back many memories, but mostly nightmares. I'm glad it was decommissioned and hope it remains lifeless for further paintings. The painting of Layil is beautiful and the one of Henry is ace. Hope to paint along side you once more someday.

Yes Carl! So freakin awesome. Glad you finally cracked how to make a painting of that fan. The desire has been there since it first entered the studio. See you in the not-so-distant future buddy.

Regarding Coro's comments, I talked to marketing this morning and they want more cleavage.

I think we've established that the fan is capable of extreme cleavage.

Lovely lovely work Carl. Thank you for sharing. Too bad we didn't get around to meeting up in SF last winter when I was at bacaa. I would have loved to see some of those in an earlier stage. Did you have a lot of trouble keeping the chroma in those bright reds in the hair? Anyway, have fun at the workshop!

    Cheers,
