Hello, I'm new. I wasn't sure where to make an introduction thread, but since most of these pics are doodles or WIPs I figure this place is as good as any.

I'm a mere noob at art, but I hope to improve greatly. I bet I'll learn a lot from this site. See you around.

Nice drawings but I suggest doing more sketches from life before trying to do the gruesome pictures, this will make everything look so much more real.

Hi NightHerald! I'm digging the subject matter - beasties and Warhammer stuff is love.

Try doing figure/anatomical studies from life and photos, they'll help a lot. Study also how armor is worn on the body, and how shapes look like and work together from different angles.

For coloring, harder brushes often yield better results and are more effective in conveying a sense of texture, especially for hard objects like metal.

Don't stop drawing!

crossmirage: Thanks. Yeah, Warhammer is the shit. It's actually a large part of what got me attempting "serious" art in the first place.

I plan on doing that a lot more than I've done so far.

Start drawing more from real life, as others have said. It doesn't matter how well your stuff is "painted" if the drawing they're based off of hasn't been executed well.

nice start! I see your a warhammer fan, you shoud check Adrian Smith(if you dont know him already) and the secret for doing this kinda stuff is old good anatomy

Sadly, my entire DeviantArt gallery (as well as Journals and everything) just disappeared overnight for some reason, much of which I didn't have backed up (Had a couple of harddrive breakdowns). But I guess I could look around and find some of that stuff to upload here

Right, time to bring this sketchbook back to life. Managed to find a few newer drawings, ranging from 2 years ago to present day.











Next I'll hopefully be able to show some studies.
