Het bahnu, the digital stuff is really helping you out regarding a fluency of working that temperamentally suits you.
I wrote the following earlier in this thread:

The 'formal music' side of your work speaks strongest to me. For instance the fourth drawing down (last but one) is extremely potent regarding that arch of linking bodies. A sort of writing with forms that is in tune with your temperament and allowing you to speak without the literary associations holding up the works.

I'm delighted to see that this is becoming the motivating engine of your work - I reckon the digital medium is allowing you to 'speak' in a fluent and 'streaking foxlike' way that is at the heart of things for you.
A tiny word of caution: don't get too greedy for its fruits - allow hings to mature properly, they will have much more flavour....

Lewsiton- thanks , well its hard to get the intensity that a francis bacon can exert , but i try to do strong work, strong in the sense of an aura. I am actually happy that I dont feel much like a cat in water in the digital realm, cuz that was how I was expecting myself to be earlier. its nice hearing that you are a fan, well seeing that your own stuff is mindblowing as well.

Chris Bennett- thanks for the critique yet again, you know your words have really helped me shape myself up properly. I do believe that digital medium has given me more freedom to express, but yes , I dont want to flout that freedom , infact i want to haul it back a little bit, I think its also more additive when one stays primitive at times too.
Also as the digital medium is so fast, it may hamper the stop and think it out formula. So, thanks again for the cautionary advice sir.

Hey there! You work is great! You seem to be on the way to finding your own voice (which is something I've always struggled with). We seem to have similar taste in artists. Some of your themes, even, are similar to what I was working on a couple of years ago.

I, too, recently went digital and understand how that feels. I avoided it for years and thought I would hate it. Turns out I love it! I find myself less inhibited and more free to experiment when working digitally because a) with layers and such it's easy to change something if it's not working or you change your mind. and b) I'm not worried about wasting expensive materials (paints, linen, etc.).

I noticed the Bacon and McKean influence too. To add to your list of influences, I'm wondering if you've seen the work of Rico LeBrun or R.B. Kitaj? If not, I think you might like them...

JPACER- Thanks a lot man, respect coming from you means a lot since I really admire your own work and words at the art discussion forum.
I guess honesty, Integrity and a self assurance is more important than peculiarity(which is called style by most people). I do see that in your work and I respect that too.
I think the freedom of expression is vast in the digital medium, obviously the physicality of the artwork isnt there, but then so much is given to you by other means digitally. And it should be exploited(used) properly by us. But in the end its the art that matters more than the medium.
Another point is that there can be a tendency to flout the freedom of expression in a digital medium, we should be vary of something like that, vulgarity shouldnt be overdone hehehe.
You are damn right about my inspirational artists, thanks for Rico LeBrun's reference though. I really dig his works.

i'm sorry i haven't been answering at all, when we will have some time alone, i'll tell you all about it. in very short terms - i kind of died and came back. nothing's the same.
i miss you, i miss emma and i can't wait to have some long, happy chats.
good times are coming, the storm has passed and i'm back. i've changed, everything changed but i somehow managed to survive.
our project is nearly done. i had to stop and redo it from the beginning. i showed it to someone with tons of experience and it was all wrong. so i had to redo it all over. i just couldn't mock your work and deliver something below what it deserved.

Really nice work. I see the Bacon and Hale influences but the way you distort the figures and the subject matter seem to make it your own. The graphic novel stuff is very strong. I'd pick this up if I saw it on the stands. The more that you work the more your own style develops and it seems that's exactly what you're doing. Keep at it!

Nice stuff. The first few paintings you posted remind me of Francis Bacon. Not the biggest Bacon fan though.

My favorite stuff you posted in the thread was the line art for that comic The exaggerated perspective was cool and the gestures of your line work was elegant.

I'd like to see you do some Egon Schiele type paintings with the line-work you were showing on the figures in the comic.

Interesting thing happened the other day when I read your comment, I had both Schiele and bacon books right next to me. Both these artists have been pivotal to my growth towards finding my own voice, I want to draw like schiele and paint like bacon. But thanks a lot for the words man.

So finally a headless painting that isnt looking like, headless is a new series that I am sorta working on. This has also been the only piece in the last two weeks that isnt shitty.

Oh btw, thanks to Eadward Muybridge for the reference pic. Hes a life saver when you brain doesnt know how to capture a figure.

Inspiring as always. Your rendering skills are getting better and better, so do the choices about compositions. One question: do you use any references for the bodies?

i like the latest one man, i think its an improvement because there is a softer flow in the way you've rendered the figure.
Have you tried painting in less chromatic colours? Perhaps something more towards a grey, with subtle changes i warm and cool. I only suggest this for an exercise, in order to practice looking at the subtle changes in value. For example I think with the bottom figure in red, i think there could be some lighter planes on the top so that the top half looks like its more above.

very cool paintings you got here man, I'm really digging this headless series. Whilst I like your colour choices, I don't think you need to keep them so 'flat' - make sure some colours get some variation: reds will have little hints of orange or purple in them, blue will have hints of green, etc;

gotta run, keep it up man!

Darjan Jurincic- Sorry mate, I just miised your comment in last post. Well, to tell you, I do at times use reference for paintings but mostly I just study from them. There are, though, times when I get inspired by looking at a pose in a photography, lately alot of stuff by Eadward Muybridge has inspired me to do my paintings. The latest being this_____
