Yup great texturing, I would suggest removing the right half of the painting. Extend the canvas a bit more up and add some sea indication there.

That way you can create a better composition with the characters in a more portrait like look. Right now they are not really part of the whole image, as you only see them from the chest up. Just a thought.

Thanks for the critique! Actually that's a sling around the mother's shoulder, a pouch to hold the infant close. But seeing as how Triton had a tail, it might prove a bit confusing to folks, but I hope not! So thanks for pointing that out!

I replaced the scaled sling with a tail fin, not finished of course but I'm glad it was called to my attention!
