    another mech suit (concept)

    im trying to belt one of thease out a day but i didnt get finished so...i filled it in really loosely but i doubt ill finish it. this thing ended up rather aquatic so... anyway... i added wingalings... again, im going for new conceptual ideas.

    looks funky. finish it and colour it. or better yet, finish it and put it in the colouring book in this section!

    Nice, detail on armor inspired by? Im guessing the weapons from halo? could be wrong, but looks good so far, although i find mechs more interesting in dynmaic poses:chug:

    i actually hate halo with a passion... so no. the only weapon i spent time on is the rocket arm thing. the rest was filler

    Firstly, it's good quality artwork. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem mechanically "right." The articulations and stuff just don't feel flexible enough/reinforced in the right places.

    I like doing exoskeleton suits, and the one thing I always do before even playing around with design is sketch out the pilot and the skeleton/chassis upon which everything will be based. That way you don't end up with vertical legs that make feet that are too close to walk, or put joints on the exoskeleton arms that don't correspond to the wearers movements.

    It's a nightmare, really. It reminds me why Heavy Gear has its' pilot just sit inside the chest and control the limbs with joysticks.

    i know what your saying. i think a lot of the smoothness of the mechanical aspects were lost in the quick inking. thats my excuse. also, this isn't a exo-suit for people, the pilot sits in the head area. so anyway... thank allot tho for good criticism tho, i appreciate it alot

    heh thats quite weird cause my mate has a VERY similar style of drawing to yours as well as drawing a shit load of mechs
