Perhaps because you have to choose some characteristics, and interpret them in your style. You gotta pick the good ones. at least that's why i had problems with fanart.
You're used with the style of the artist..

Yes, heroes seem so strange when being peaceful ,living a normal life. Nice to see heh

Characters look nice.
I particularly like the expression of the first character. I see you doing a bit of foreshortening on the second one, but i think you should study that more.
The proportions should be more wacky, bigger towards the top. The legs seem to have a frontal view as they are right now.
Perhaps some more foreshortening? Would be nice.

bhwhahha i laughed when i saw the earthworm jim and other characters frame. gosh i loved earthworm jim. i got a download of all the episodes and they're classics! along with Project Geeker (you seen this?).

i like the perspective girl with the bat. it's hard to hit that and make it look legit. you did it well.

Nice job on the pose of that angel there. I would however suggest a bit more dynamic movement on the wings to make it look less stiff. Maybe make the wings bigger and having some motion to them? I think that could make it stronger.

Do you have pose reference for this last one? Your anatomy always feels pretty darn solid. I do however pose the question of why is her one arm wrapped around the other side? It could be more expressive, unless she is injured or trying to cover something etc.
