I am not sure about how it connects to the "newborn" topic, but I love the tiger picture. Great lightning and a fantastix design on the tiger.

Love your style Toronn. Fresh, beautifully drawn and lit, plus being full of really attractive ideas and forms. That tiger one really has something. Being thick, I'm not sure quite how it relates to Newborn, but I love it anyway.

The topic of this competition is about "newborn"
So your picture should contain something that fits the topic.

Newborn can be a baby, or some new creation

The Troll looks young but not newborn. But newborn does not have to be a baby, it could be a new race or some event.

Newborn can have many meanings in this context, but the essence i think is about "The beginning of a new creation, the birth of a big event, baby child, something that just came to life"

I am not a judge for this contest so i really don't want to judge your work here and i hope what i wrote is not misleading.
Please do what you feel is best by yourself.

technique and skill is very important but idea is very important too for this contest.

Your Illustration looks very good i think, you have a great skill.

I wrote a long reply last night and then erased it because i thought it was stupid.

anyway, i will not write the same post again as it was rather long. But I see the conversation has turned toward what my post was originally directed at.

and that is the definition of NEWBORN

Here is how I see your painting relating to the topic as you cant really get there through "conventional" methods.

the idea of newborn is not literal, and something newborn could be a newfound passion, or anger, or.. strength to fight...

you see where i am going here?

Your tiger has a light coming from its head... why? this is the center of your piece. I took it as a battle cry, or a sudden will to survive and protect... its his inner power sprouting forth....

this is evident.

so you need to name the piece in such a way to convey that it is a newborn "feeling" or something like i mentioned above, a new ferociousness... dont use that as that is stupid but it should be something

that explains the narrative of the story, and also cements the idea of how this is related to the newborn topic....

the first attack?

a new found strength

the depths of ....

jungle cat power... whatever...

think about it, and name it...

remember, explain or emphasis the narrative, and tie in the newborn theme through the title!
