I think the colours in the first image are outstanding!! I wish the other two had the same kind of vibrancy to them, but they are all very well done. I'd sort of like to see a little bit of refinement in them as they all seem just a tad unfinished, but it could be just a stylistic thing. That first one packs a bigtime punch though, damn!
I agree with ScaryPotato. I think you have a very gestural and "painterly" feel to your work here and Im ok with the looseness your working with. Very nice! Also, welcome to posting on CA![]()
i really like the colors and the loosnes in your paintings. you have good feeling for atmosphere in each of them. one point you should work on are the faces. espacially the first one the face of the guy jumps out. it has not the quality of the rest of the painting.
but in end solid and good work. keep posting.
Thanks for the crits and the complements... your points are valid. I will be reworking these a bit and will post the results.
stay tuned.
awesome colors, 5 stars on this

euh my blog of course.
Very cool style! Kinda of comic book meets fantasy painting with stark contrast in the dark blacks (almost like comics inking) then beautiful color. I like it a lot!

Thanks all...
I've posted a new work, "Neverland." I posted it right on to the original post.
Also, "Hooded swordsman" and " Lords of the mountain" are revisions of what I originally posted. I took some of the comments I have received and reworked them a bit.
Hope to hear more from you all.

Hey guys,
thanks for welcoming me to CA. You all are an inspiration to me.
The Jesus piece is an oil painting part of a series... I'll post some more from the series in due time.
Thanks,
Lolo
I see that, WyckdNick. I'll fix that. Thanks.
ps. Just added batgirl.

Good stuff.
I'll add a minor crit on the jesus piece. I don't understand how jesus can get his back whipped while carrying that huge cross on his back and soulder.
That neverland piece rocks
Leunam,
I have to say you've got a good eye for composition and color. If I were to say anything needed correcting it would primarily be your drawing skills pertaining to the face (as others have mentioned) The assasins-creed like character up top is very cool but something about the way the shadows cross his face gives him a strange look. I think it's the bridge of the nose, and perhaps the mouth that looks a little crooked. Of course I'm being nit-picky in hopes you'll gather something from it. Your Neverland picture, and the one right above that, are the highlights of this thread IMO. Really stunning, they just jump right off the page. Keep up the great work. I'm excited to see what you'll do in the future. : )
Thanks guys.
Timsalcove, you are right about the bridge of his nose and mouth... i'll touch that up.
The Gorrilla oil painting is new.

@Amoentenich: thanks.
@Chandrioya: hi, thank you
@smokenmirrors: Thanks, I think your work is bad ass too.
@10thway: thanks, I'm trying.
@El Gallo: Thanks! that piece just got featured on DeviantArt as a Daily Deviant! It's getting alot of feedback. I'm honored.
Ok some more work.
In this latest piece I tried 2 completely diffirent concepts/composition on the same piece. Your opinions are greatly valued as to which should be primarily featured on my portfolio. Also any technical critiques are very considered.

Very strong works; Your compositions and use of color is particularly strong. I'd like to see some more contrast in your works, but that's more of a personal preference than a flaw. Keep up the great work.
Edit: For your latest piece, I strongly prefer the second concept,as the hand I feel adds a tremendous amount to the image, make it much more unique IMO.
Hey CGaddict,
Thanks for your thoughts.
When you say more contrast do you mean more defined shapes in general, cuz I think that there is plenty of contrasting values in these?

Beautiful illustrations, I get a real feeling of something new, different and unique off some of the pictures, though others feel less developed. But hey, I guess consistency comes with practice! I think hitting some anatomy/gestures studies a bit more will help a lot in some areas, though several of the figures do looks great - as before though , it's getting them all this way
Keep up the good work!
@Homeloans: thank you. I am honored that you think so.
@Alextooth: I am very happy to hear your thoughts, and I agree. I am finding this consistency slowly. Thank you for noticing my work. I will continue to practice. You mentioned "feeling of something new, different and unique off some of these", can you please elaborate and maybe list which feel this way? Judging oneself can be extremely difficult.
*Some new stuff:
I recently had the opportunity to work on an album cover for a band. Their name is "TAXI AMARILLO" and they gave me the green light and let me show these here though this album is currently unreleased and will feature quite a different sound from what the band is currently doing.
Hope you like.
