Any thoughts ?

Hi, this is my first post here.

I'd be really grateful for some perspective on this.
I feel like the head area is dragging the whole thing down .
Also the background is a bit of a cop out.

Overall looks very cool! Love the way the metal armour and the fabric are looking.

The head's a bit off center and needs to be slightly larger. I also think that a sword of such length and considerable weight would need a much longer handle.

Not to crazy about the planet thingy in the background. I would leave it out alltogether. The rest of the background looks fine to me. Did you use reference for that?

Thanks I see what you mean.
I used a bust of caesar as a reference for the head, but the rest is imaginative.
Normally I'd get a good few anatomy references and a few sketches done, but since I was going for a mechanical, inhuman look I just jumped straight in.
The background is just basically filtered noise over a layer of painted colours.
