Your work is amazing. There's a flow and vibrancy in your strokes and colors that just make it for me. So subscribing to this thread!
(Plus, Howl's Moving Castle rocks. And so do polar bears!)

FraserMcT - Thanks! Yeah, texture would be great... =D
Platonist - Hehe, she was supposed to be from worms eye but I have to learn how to draw and paint first, before I move into perspective. Thanks! ^_^
liquidjack - Thaaanks!
Rushlord - Oh sorry read your comment just now and don't like the sketch that much. =(
Ariel9 - Whooo, thank youuu!
jatherip - Thankies aaand you can do it!!!!
Sooo, I applied to the HAW this week and I'm afraid I get rejected once again...
Also my internet connection got canceled for a week. D:
But finally I made it back. YAY!
Today was my last day in the agency and what had to happen: a woman crashed into my car, which was parked and I wasn't in it or saw what happened. It rained and was really really cold and I had to wait outside till the police and the ambulance arrived. Noone got hurt, but the woman was really beat up. Good news my car still drives but still I have to give it to the car repair shop. -.-
Now I want to get better at everything. Starting now.
Some Bridgman studies to understand how the bodies moves. I think if you understand Bridgeman you understand how the body reacts... My pencilstuff really needs some help! D:
lines
I'm so bad at rendering... (new haircut)
crap from head... the faces look so sad
I forgot this Kammerflimmern study.
quick value study
since I had nobody around to cheer me up (for one looong week), I tried to do it myself ^^
Tomorrow we celebrate my grandpa's 70 anniversary und the day after tomorrow my cousin turns 18!
Why can't I just lock me up somewhere and nobody should be allowed to free until I'm good enough...
I can't write English anymore. I have to sleep.
Damn amazing studies. I need to work so much more but I have no time at all. Your face rendering looks awesome. Nothing to complain about. How long did you work on it? And the kammerflimmern study is outstanding. What brush did you use there? I can't even see the brushstrokes, how did you do that? ^^ You are improving so fast. Damn it
Your Bridgman's look so much better than mine... D': You're making it look easy!
I do see improvement in your pencils... Great work!
';D
-----brilliant working mate........ love your sketch... keep more posting & wish you good luck.............![]()

First: Rushlord and Tetrodotoxin, thanks for always being around! =)
Rushlord - Guess about 45 min. I used the same random roundbrush as always. Maybe my blending is getting better - wait, is that possible? =D
Tetrodotoxin - I miss you in here... )':
Mag-Neo - I will! Thankies!
Now, finally, I'm ill. The cold rain did it to me. D:
I was wrong my cousin turns 18 next week.
Today I slept long and often but couldn't resist doing these sketches.
It's the grandma of a friend. She looks like a character from a tim burton film.
She is a very interesting person. =)

Hey Blexano!
Big progress over the last pages...Your studies are great!!
I'm really glad you decided to get away from the use of soft brushes.
You're handling of values and lighting in your studies is great...something that i miss a bit in your imaginary stuff.
the lighting situation sometimes seems undefined...make sure you stay consistent when it comes to lighting. And always keep in mind, in order to
define form and depth with light and shadow you need to maintain and
strenghten the contrast between those two.
For example......the darkest values in the lights should still be lighter than
the lightest values in the darks of a painting. (That helped me a lot)
Also that when you have a very desaturated light source the shadows should be more saturated and vice versa...
....It's all about keeping lights and darks distinctive from each other.
You might know this already, but i know from my personal experience that such knowledge and considerations often get lost in pure laziness...hehe ...so you have to force yourself to think of this stuff in each painting.
I hope you can take something out of it.
Keep on doing that figure studies, they are coming along nicely!
Andi
Awww... well, I promised to kick your ass if you open a sketchbook. I'd like to stop by more often though. I'm back to Uni again, 5. Semester before my Bachelor-Arbeit D: There's some tough stuff coming at me... Pharmakologie, Pathologie, Humangenetik @.@
Use the knowledge you learn from your studies and transport it into your stuff from imagination. Just build up a huge visual library... And warm up your tablet for the international Selfportrait day on Nov 1st
Get well soon and start filling this SB... see you on page 100 next week!!!![]()
Adrian - Duuuude, thanks! Well I should make more of them then... ^^
Delmar - Damn Delmar, I thank you so much for sharing! And also thanks for even stopping by. I love your stuff so much
Tetrodotoxin - Actually my condition got even worse. I had heavy breathing problems because of asthme and the meds weren't working. D: But I'm better now, new meds, new person. Haha. ^^ Pathology, yay, I wanted to be a pathologist 3 years ago (love for art was bigger). And about that selfportrait day on nov 1st: I see the banner up there, but how can I read more about it? I'd like to join if I'm not at the HAW. =) Still page 4... lol
HerrleerzeichenS - Thanks, I like the new haircut, too.
Sorry for not updating had a few health problems. )=
I also have 2 new sketchbooks.
One for ink and the other one for pencil.
But there's nothing in it I'd like to share yet. D:
So some stuff from today, yay! Not much tough...
A quick photo study and a quick sketch illu for the fairy tale "Das Lumpenkind" my gran told me lately.
You're getting better and better. It seems your developing your own style right now looking at your last posts. Keep it up. Can't wait to see some new work soon![]()
yeah man those studies look great ! makes me stopping by alot more from now on haha
i ll cu ...namesvetter

Rushlord -Currently working on comissions! One of them is almost done. But I'm afraid I won't be able to share that one. =D

Sooo. Not soo lucky update - I got my fourth rejection today from HAW Hamburg... )=

Awful Selfportrait, looks nothing like me (but the rendering is a bit better lol)
eyes are fucked up
That's just my luck... )=
I need to think about what I want to do if I'm not able to study art yet...
Oh boy.
great study and great digitals! Keep up the great work, can't wait to see more
working hard, eh?good job

Awesome work. Why is it Germans have so much precision in their work?
Try drawing figures from memory rather than copying them directly, just a thought.
Look forward to seeing more.
niiiiice work. that red head image is gorgeouse!

Very nice stuff... Glad your health is at 100% again. I wish mine was. My headache is killing me. Hab mich wohl bei dir angesteckt
I really like that SP. Having trouble with the postition of the eyes is very common, you can even see it on many experienced artists' pieces. Nice practice for Nov 1st. Just take a look at the "Finally Finished" - Section, there's a stickied thread about it at the top. I'm planning to participate as well, if I'm feeling better on Sunday.
And don't let things get you down! Use it as motivation. Who knows what the future has in store for you...
Schöne Grüße aus der Studentenstadt Münster.
Echt schöne Sachen dabei, besonders die Gesichter wirken sehr gut.
Ich muss auch mehr mit Farben arbeiten.
Just for the case, that I am wrong and you dont speak german: Great works !
Wonderful selfportrait. The rendering is great. Damn your improvement. It kills me![]()
The Original [E] - Thanks!
Noro - Hey, thanks!btw. I'm going to apply to Münster in march. :'D
Porg - Don't ask me that, i have no clue. ^^ I do studies from mind too,
but they suck so much that I throw them right away.
(and yes someone slaped me already in the face for doing so)
jeremymoore - Thanks. =D
Bombur - Thank you.
Deathgod - Haha, yeah the pear, I have to do more stilllifes. Thanks for your comment.
jatherip - Thanks! Who says I'm not?! xD
Tetrodotoxin - Wow, dude, I saw you on the t-shirt.
Sooo I produced a lot of crap these days... oh boy... the pressure get's just bigger and bigger because I didn't found a place to study/work yet...
I tried to go out and then back to drawing, or shooting photos... nothing helped...
Today I started a illustration of Todesfuge (Death Fugue) a very moving german poem. If you're interested read it here! (also in english)
Here's what I've done so far. (of course WIP)
"Dein aschenes Haar Sulamith"
And don't forget to have fun with the stuff you're doing!!!
Tetrodotoxin - Hey, danke!
Well, I usually don't share wips, but this concept is fun.
I redrew almost everything, because the sketch was really messy. ^^
I really enjoy this concept. Don't know if I stick with the skull, because I really took trouble with the face, but I just love the idea.
For the ear I looked in the mirror and I looked at some skulls.
The rest is from head. Edit: Added a non-skull view.
Back to some studies.

really clean stuff and studies that great : ) hope you will continue like that
The second painting is much better man. Yeah nobody gets killed here. Keep it up.
