    intuos 3 surface sheet problem

ive had my intuos 3 for about a year now and I never really had any problems with the surface sheet until recently. In the past month I've bought two new surface sheets and now the second one has scratch marks all over it to where I can't paint with it at all, my nib is not sharp and I dont press down very hard....whats going on!?!

You can't paint with it?? Goodness that sounds bad and quite unusual if you are as light with it as you say (I have no reason to disbelieve you!) To be honest your best bet by far is to contact Wacom directly - I'm sure they'll be willing to help.

Here's the link (assuming you're in the US): http://www.wacom.com/productsupport/index.php

Hope you find out what's going on - if you get this sorted let us know as it may help others!

the7: yeah, I bought it directly from wacom.

xana: I dont clean the surface but the rest of the tablet I usually just dust off or wipe away spots with a damp washrag.

y'know I took off this plastic part that's covering the sheet (its the part thats scratched), just to see if the pen would work. it works fine, but is that plastic there for a reason I wonder?

sometimes the sides of the nib become more sharp, than others... check it or replace. even if you don't push hard, it can scratch the surface...

If I remember correctly, a new grey surface sheet comes with a clear plastic overlay for protection only during transit, is this what you have been drawing on? Forgive me if I'm asking a dumb question, but yes, a pic would be helpful. The drawing surface sheet should not have a "cover".
