FightingSeraph: Thanks! I'm glad to be back [:
SophieW: Thank you [: I just need to keep up the studies and not give up like I seem to do sometimes

Not much because I'm too lazy to take pics of my sketchbook and this past couple weeks I've been busy. Still trying to get back into sketching digitally...takes a while because my hand tends to hurt after a short while..Just some timed gestures, little landscape practice and fox and wolf drawings [: refs used

Nice sketchbook! YOu got some big workloads and your progress is clear to see. You doing really good, just keep pushing it! I understand what you mean by your wrist starting to hurt while drawing digital. I use to have the same problem when i had a intous medium. But i upgraded to the extra large intous 4 and all my wrist discomforts went away. Really glad i did that now. It goes perfect with a 27 inch screen Cant wait to see more from you!

Joe777k7: Thank you so much! [: I'm glad my progress is clear to see because sometimes it's hard for me to see it and I don't know if I'm getting better. I think part of my problem is that my setup is kinda weird, but it helps if I put something soft under my wrist it doesn't hurt as much. If I had the money I would totally invest in a bigger tablet, but for now I just have to stick to my small one.

Here's a small update. Some neck/head studies from KChen and jack hamm. The rest are reffed. Also a value study because I need to work on my values.

You're definitely on the right track, it's very interesting to see how your gestures reflect the studies. Amazing work! Keep it up
I'd suggest maybe incorporating tones into the longer poses to flesh them out more, once you feel like it.

Been busy with school to post pics. Unfortunately I don't like my hw pieces enough to post but I WILL post more hopefully later today. These are sketches of characters from the movie The Devil's Carnival. Done on tracing paper which is why they're super light.

good progress hampton its a great master of anatomy and gesture, you are getting a nice flow to them and grasped his methos quite efficently well done! now i believe too its time to incorporate tone and light to those figures, also try to do some still lifes it will help you understand light and shadow, since they dont move cram the most amount of value range and tones in there try to spend a minimum of 45 minutes on each, do them small but not too small, so you can do lots and if you have a flashlight use the light to play with the shadows, yknow experminet with it feel it while you draw it

good luck and ill be back to see how you doing

JesseM: Thanks! I will do that! [:
lionheartGFX: why thank you! I love hampton! He's my favorite to study from [: I too agree with you I should work on value studies, and I will get a chance to work on that since I'm in school at the moment [:
I just moved across the country from CA to FL and haven't been able to do much. Here's a couple assignments from my heads and hands class as well as my color and design class [: For the analogous color portrait, we had to print out a posterized B&W pic and use gouache to fill in the shapes using an analogous color scheme. I used primary blue(mixed), ultramarine(tube color), and blue-violet(mixed)

Just noticed that the site is back up! [: For the past few weeks I haven't don't much other then my hw, because I'm settling into being in a new state and my aunt and grandma decided to visit so they've been here for a week so far.
These are my hw pieces. I was actually enjoying drawing the hands..I think I am starting to get how to draw them, but I still need ALOT of practice.
