Nice work here! It's a good start...seems like you have a good understanding of general anatomy and gestures (not that you can't improve a lot more ). What I'd recommend for you is to work on your rendering. Making your lines follow the form makes a world of difference.

thanks guys. Not sure how to translate those tips, but I'm sure in general, I know I've learned something. And you're right jockpot, I got a lot to imporve. Haven't been sketching like I used to, and like how I'm suppose to be, if I still wanna chase my dream. Thanks to you too silent.
Here more of old stuffs. Haven't touched some of them for years, so I thought why not post them here. After all what's an artist without audience, and what's experience, if not to be shared. I'll try to post more recent random sketches next time...
    cheers

No time for scanning... so I got only this for now. Grabbed one of my old sketch and did a color study and painting process, something that I've never done before. It turned out ok, but it took long hours to come up with this, so I don't think the approach is applicable for a quick sketch. C & C are most welcome.

Will post more, heeps more been doing a lot of studies
    Cheers

I'm absolutely loving the lineart, the gestures, the designs and concepts. I wish I had some crits/comments for you but to be honest, it looks I could learn a few things from you.

I also especially love the drawing of the face where half of it is in shadow, thats some good work!

hitnrun: thanks dude. It's great to know you're learning some thing from me, never thought of it that way as I was expecting to be bashed considering the amount of talents displayed in this site. I had a look at your SB, and I tell you, I've seen worst, yours is coming along ok. If you continue the pursuit for excellence, you may earn a spot up there ^^^. I my self is learning and relearning too, just keep pushing.

I'm thinking of posting some more from my sketch pad but don't have a scanner, so here's some of my digital doodles.
This is crazy! I think I got more energy to create than what I had in Fine ARts school back in the days....all because of
the first two was just my custom brushes trials during the Newborn piece creation, and the rest are some alchemy sketches

You've got some real kick-arse stuff up here. Your colouring is very good, albeit a bit flat (just a bit).
Ultimately though, I'm loving the very cyberpunk feel to alot of these, and your attention to the details in some of the above works is mind-boggling. Keep at it and keep posting!

Still can't post my sketches 'cause I'm still yet to scan them. It'll be quite a dump, for now here's my PS sketches. Practicing form development and shading with my custom brush to see how fast I can go with it. Turns out the brush can go fast but I'm still too slow. The second image is my first serious attempt in sketching in PS (from memory), it'll take a bit of getting used to...

    thanks for peeking

ok here I go again. nothing fancy. just last few pages of my sketch pad, finished the whole lot in three weeks time. It was intense, and I'm paying the toll now. Lots of studies, 98% are from memory and from observation.
Just bought a new sketch pad, and with it I'll step it up a bit.

Awesome SB, i particularly like few the Alchemy pieces i 've seen and notice small little faces and things within the abstract, which is sweet. Nice to see you're rediscovering anatomy, looks like it's helping a lot. Oh and that painting of the bird on the guy's shoulder is killer. I'd like to see some more Alchemy stuff and more gestures. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys for the support. Alchemy, gestures and color sketched...gotcha, I'll try to do more of those.

here's some color one. Pointless doodles on my LG phone, and the eye was a finger painting on my iPhone. The pencils are the first 3 pages of my new sketch pad, I'm back to using pencils again, but still try not to erase, just for practice.
Moving on now to a more finish solid stuffs, but I'll still try to update every now and then. Thanks for dropin' by

a quick sketch i did when i was testing out my new pentab. The rodent one was a magazine illustration I did for a medical magazine in the Philippines; I'll just include that here in my SB for I think it's not worthy to be seen in the finished Artwork threads

Hey, I just wanted to say I like your SB.

I'm not one for abstract. But I'm digging your anatomy! That drawing of the hunched guy in front of the battle; looks especially nice. Keep it up

The piece of the guy sitting with his hand on his face is good, I like it a lot, but the arm is too big... Also, there's to much empty space in it, maybe add mountains in the back and clouds of dust. Some large spears with flags would look nice somewhere in there...

Stop by my sketchbook please, sharing comments will help us all!

thanks Irishdrunk and Braintree for droppin by. Glad you're diggin it.
you're right ariel, at the moment it seems empty. I find it hard painting forms and dust clouds at the same time. But yeah, I'll try to populate it later. As you can see I've erased the pillars at the background thinking maybe I can just paint it later or just ditch it completely. I got this idea of putting a Jap looking dragon and Greek cyclops battling at the background, but I'm not sure yet.
    cheers
