Background: This round is a co-op with the current big contest that's going on at CA.org, the Newborn Contest:

Just like the other Weekly Activities, IDW is joining in to give people the opportunity to create something for this contest while at the same time having an opportunity to get extra feedback and to check how your entry is doing against others in the poll.

I will not be very strict with what is considered IDW or what work should be posted in the other Activities, but please keep in mind that the entries in here should be somewhat related to ID. Everything else is totally up to you

Brief:
1. Design and draw your interpretation of 'Newborn'!
2. That's it... now draw!

Deadline: Saturday, July 11
As you might have noticed, this means you've got about 2 weeks after this IDW round ends to finish up your entry for the actual Newborn Challenge (or to create a new one, as multiple entries are allowed)

Yaay! i was wondering if the IDW would do this! im not entirely sure what were 'sposed to do. Just... design something?

Rabies: Yeh as said I'm not going to be very strict this round. Remember, ultimately you want to win Newborn I suppose, so aim for that in here already. So you'll probably need a full illustration of something (it can be rather abstract if you want, as long as it has something to do with something man-made I'm fine with it). I've also seen a couple of robots being created for this, so it's up to you.

This is what i have so far, i am sure this one work for the IDW and for the Newborn. i draw it thinking on the Newborn concept, the idea is a giant robot, build underwater, raising to batle.

I have two questions Yoitisi, just to be sure, the Illustration that participate in IDW can participate in Newborn, rigth? and, where do we post the final Illustration for IDW? here? thx

Luci Fer: Yep, this round was meant so people had an extra push to start something for Newborn, so please use it for that contest as well As for posting the finals, I'll put up the Finals thread in here shortly. There's still a few days to go so use those.

yo!!!.... I had planned to enter a concept into the CHOW newborn thing....but sadly I misinterpreted the deadline for that...real sucks...but luckily my concept for CHOW can still work for IDW!!!....so before IDW hits the deadline Ill chuck my design in there....yeah...its looking pretty nice at the moment.
